Yes it is okay to use White Vinegar to wash and whiten and brighten colors and is safe to use on delicates I fully recommend using White Vinegar and have recommended it to many Yahoo Answers users on a religious basis am a fanatic when it comes to Vinegar for cleaning whole house and as a laundry aide been using Vinegar for years in this very same way and now currently use in for cleaning in my housecleaning business, customers are pleased with the results of Vinegar

I also recommend using Baby Shampoo to wash your tee shirts in as it is much gentler than your detergent is for these types of delicate shirts it will also do a very nice cleaning of your shirts and is less expensive than detergent, just use quarter cup to a small to medium load or two tablespoons to a small load or if washed in the sink then two tablespoons will do nice

Good Luck !

You are doing fine. The only other thing to remember is to not twist or wring the clothes by hand. It can tear the design. Use half the usual amount of soap, especially if you have softened water to maintain the color longer and hang them out of the sun.

The only thing more gentle would be to wash them by hand, And by the time they would wear out you would more than likely have replaced them with something more up to date or more in line with the latest styles.

You're smart to do it the way you are. The gentle cycle on washers is great, especially if you can choose the length of the wash cycle.

what you are doing is the best way. Keeps them from fading and you won't hurt the designs. Also use a cold water detergent..(like cold water all) they seem to work a little better.

if it ain't broke - don't fix it

sounds like you have a plan to take care of your delicates - and I agree with it

always turn mine inside out - to protect the designs -

all the best !
