I'm growing lemon balm, thyme, sage, and multiple mints.

I tried making lemon balm herbal tea, but it kind of grossed me out (had a grassy taste). Does anyone know a reliable procedure or method to making lemon balm tea? Or anything else I can do with lemon balm/melissa?

Does anyone know if thyme has a lot of iron in it? I recall reading that somewhere.

If anyone has general/interesting info about any of these herbs and things I can use them with or for....

When I was a kid everyone I knew had really beautiful soft sheets. Many floral patterns and colors were available as well as plaids, stripes and solids. No ironing, no pilling, just soft comfortable linens. I don't remember them costing an arm and a leg either. Why can't I find these bright pretty patterns now?

My son just bought a house, he has new - mills pride - put together cabinets from Home Depot. They were on clearance which is why he made that pick. We have to work with clearance and discounted items, but what colors should we be looking for? He favors muted colors, sage green, burnt orange, sandstone.

I've looked and there's not a concrete slab as a base on the two or three 4*4's that seem to be sinking.

Our garbage disposal stopped working after a disposal dishtowel got caught in it. After several attempts to free the jam, water started leaking from the sides of the disposal. We tightened the screws around the sides. Now, the sides are no longer leaking but it's leaking from the reset button! We called the manufacturer and they said "Sorry, get a new one." but I'm not one to give up so easily. Does anyone know how (or if) this can be fixed?

When using a gas oven or stove, it is normal to smell a bit of the gas being released. If someone had a particularly acute sense of smell is there anything to do to remedy or lessen this smell? The smell was strong enough that they were forced to open the windows.

I have a red tile roof, and somehow the sparrows get into each tile, even though each tile is filled with cement. The birds are are nuisance, because of their droppings all over the front steps, and driveway.

I have two Gardenia plants. The leaves were yellowing, but I gave them fertalizer and that got better. Now the flowers are turning yellow soon after blooming white, or right away. After a day or two, they turn brown on the edges and die. Is this natural? I thought the bloom life was longer.

My garage is partially drywalled right now and the rest of the walls are just framed. The previous owner already installed shelving on the framing. I was going to take the shelving out, add insulation and drywall, and add more shelving, but I'm wondering is it really necessary? I could just redo the shelving over the framing like the previous owner did. It's just a single car garage with a washer/dryer i don't really care how it looks. Should I take the time to drywall it and make it look nice or just add the shelving I need. It doesn't really look bad, it just looks unfinished.

Well, you see, I may get a new dog soon. Well, I have two rooms right by each other, so the dog will use the room I never use. However, in my room, there's a bad smell. You see, when my old dog was a puppy, all he ever did was urinate on my carpet, and the smell of it has been stuck in there for years. I'm afraid the smell would either be unbearbale for my new dog, or he'd try to cover it up with his own, making even more of a stench.
We've already tried arm and hammer baking soda odor remover, but it didn't work. Is there anything that would get rid of the smell? I'm going to try Febreeze sometime.
I'de also love it if the product wasn't tested on animals.
