Help! I put some of my whites in the same laundry as my colors thinking that they have been washed enough that the colors will no longer run. As a result, they did and my whites have some color stains. Is there anything I can do to make them white again? bleach? home remedies? any other products out there?

I'm about to buy a new cooker. With all the worries about our gas supplies depleting would it be more ecologically sound if I bought an electric oven. Will my bills lower as the price of gas has risen so dramatically? I've never used one before - do they do as good a job as gas? Pros and cons please...

Recently our shower briefly got backed up and water leaked through the shower wall (which is not sealed properly), and came out on the other sides of the wall into adjoining rooms/closets. We dried out the carpet with towels and by airing out the rooms, but I'm worried about mold inside the wall.

I'm wondering whether I should be worried about damage to my house. Is there a way to check for mold without tearing out the walls? Do you think this type of damage would cause a mold problem?

I have two, but I've seen another that I just love. It's not a matter of keeping a Kosher kitchen; I just love dishes.

Are three services too many?

Thanks for your input.

OK..I was watching TV and saw this commercial about dustmites and allergens contained in mattresses and now I am really grossed out and refuse to go to bed until I clean the mattress. Any ideas how? I have a steamer (like the one advertised on TV). Is that the best thing to use? If not, what is? Whoever has the best answer and helps me rest easy gets the 10 points!!!

Do any companies make conversion kits for 3 1/2 full round nailers. From regular to Positive Placement. I don’t want to destroy my current nail gun but I was just thinking.

I am asking for some help putting up a pros/cons list of hardwood x carpet (wall-to-wall). What should be taken into consideration:

1. I have 2 kids: an active 3 y.o. and a 9 m.o. that is learning to walk (lots of falls);

2. The cost is comparable, given that the carpet (cheaper) will be installed by professionals but the hardwood (pricier) will be installed by my husband & father-in-law.

I guess my question concerns factors such as: inconvenience, time for installation, warranty, ease of cleaning, ease of maintenance, and other factors I am sure I am overlooking.

I thank you in advance for your help.
