Women's Health - November 2007

Hi,
I am housewife 26 years. with two kids. Family planning also done. I am suffering from ovarian cystectomy in the left ovary, doctor drained my ovary 5 months back but again the cyst formed. Now she is telling to removing the left ovary and she told that during menstrual bleeding the blood from uterus is going into the left ovary. If she removes the left ovary she cannot guarantee that again the right ovary may be filled. I am afraid she may remove the right ovary after that or that she may remove the uterus also.

My question is whether there is any solution to get rid of this without operating. If yes please give me appropriate information or tips or call me on phone no. 09912178090.

I went to the doctor and he has come up with gasritis, nut cracker esophpous sorry I suck at spelling!, And severe IBS. After running test such as A lower and up GI, A barium swollow and a colonoscopy. But I have been on spasm medication and anti biotics and IBS medication including a anti depresant! and my pain is getting worse and worse agian it is locatied in my lower back, pelvic area, and abdoman. I as well have irregular periods, Dizziness,Diaharrea,Nausea,and fatigue. All my doctor has said to me is he is extremely worried and sent me to a Ginocoligest for a ultra sound. Okay also he has ruled out ulcers, celiac, chrons,my gallbladder, and infection including UTI. I am at a loss and in extreme pain.

on the first day of my period I had unprotected sex with my spouse. My period was light on the first day........I just don't know if I can still get pregnant........never had that happen to me before..............

I have 2 children both born via c-section and both were breastfed exclusively. With my first child I got my period back right away, the following month after the postpartum bleeding stopped. Now with my second child, she's a year old and I still haven't had a period. She's eating solid food, but she still breastfeeds about 4 times a day. Anyway, how long is too long to go without having a menstrual cycle while breastfeeding? I know some women don't have periods while BF, but I've always be so extremely regular... I'm worried that there could be something wrong. After my c-section I had a foul odor, lots of leakage, and redness... which I told my OB about, BUT he said I was fine because I didn't have a fever. Sex is still painful, too. :-P

So I think I have cervicitis but I can't get to the doctor until Dec 13. I was just reading up on it and it said that if left untreated it can lead to infertility, cancer, chronic pelvic pain and much more! How long before this happens? Weeks, months, years? Help! I am freaking out because I really want kids and I can't get to the doctor for a couple more weeks!

Is it true that eating food with lots of soy helps your boobs to grow? im fourteen and flat as a pancake. i know that im still growing but all of my friends are at least a B cup and im only AA. im tall for my age too! Is there any pills or food that is proven to help boobies grow bigger, faster, soon?! HELP!

okay. well i guess you can say i'm the type of girl that has the most lowest self-esteem. my bf likes me the way i look and doesn't really care about how big my brests are. but when i look around the rest of the 7th grade i see many other girls with bigger brests and they are the same age as me. like my friend is 12 and she has a B cup size already! Any advice as to how to make them grow bigger without surgery &&bra stuffing etc. ?

Hi. I had a condom get stuck in me yesterday for the first time. (I got it out but it was difficult). This must be a fairly common problem and I was just wondering what other people do to get it out because I always thought "Oh, just put your fingers up there and grab it" but this was not within finger reach. My doctor wants me to get another sonogram of my ovaries,uterus,etc and said that there is "evidence" of an ovarian tumor.By tumor could she also mean a cyst? I am 21 years old, PCOS and Cushings have been knocked out as possibilities of me having. I have extremely high testostrone levels and have also been experincing alot of swelling, left pelvic and lower abdominal pain. Anyone else experience this? And again,could she just mean a cyst? And if it is a tumor, what will most likely be next for me in order of getting rid of it. (BTW,currently on birth control to gain my period-havent had one in a little under 2 years)

on september 8th, i used my hand on my fiance. i waited for a little bit, then used my fingers on myself. i'm on birth control. there was no sperm on my hands at all. we had no sex. i've had all my periods since then. my 1st period was one day late, but came. i was under a lot of stress. my other 2 came on time. i asked my doctor what he would think, and he said no, he doesn't think it's possible. do you think i could get pregnant from using my hand like that, even though there was no sperm? and the fact that i had all 3 periods, but one was a day late? please help.

So, i read some conflicting opinions on using tea tree oil externally during pregnancy. I just question when it says it isn't safe, when i know a prescription med i am on will say that and it is, as i took it my last pregnancy and know others that have. Anyway, anyone use it during pregnancy.

I took provera( not depo-provera the birth control) 10mg for 7 days, to induce my menstrual cycle and today it's my 8th day after I took my last pill and still have not had my period. I called the doctor and he ordered a FSH and Prolactin test. I went to the lab today to get my blood work done. Has anyone gone through this before.

Does PMS usually come before, during or after a withdrawal bleed if you are on birth control? My symptoms are starting, and I just finished my "period." I also stopped my BC 5 days before my "period" was due, and had unprotected sex a couple of times 2-3 days before stopping the pill. Could I be pregnant even if I had a withdrawal bleed? I stopped the BC due to its side effects, and didn't have any unprotected sex after that (just wanted to put that out there).

i have pain in both of my ankles and knees after basketball practice. i have went to the doctors and they said it was all normal and acted as if i had faked it. i run alot and when i get home i can barly walk. it is not my ankle it is sort of the soft skin above my heel and just below the bone that sticks out. it is in the back of my leg. i have broken my leg before when i was 2 and now i am 13 but i have the pain in both of my ankles. i have had the pain for 3 years and it is very tough to live with. my knees also hurt. one day i was playing outside in the snow and me and my friends heard a loud pop. they were all wondering what would have made such a bazar noise and when i tried to get up to look around my knee hurt so bad that it was like locked straight. i have gotten x-rays on both of my ankles and knees but they didn't seem to find anything? is it possible i could have a minor stress fracture in both of my ankles? what do you think it could be? and what about the pain in my knees

Every since I got on the depo shot my periods have been out of control. I've been on depo for nine months now. And its been 2 1/2 months since I've got my last period. And also I've been eating like I'm a pregnant person, almost everything I see. I'd say before I got on depo nine months ago I weighed 100 pounds and now I weigh 112 pounds. They say the shot blows you up, gets you big, and makes you feel pregnant. And every since I've got on depo, I have discharge every day, it's been more discharge since Ive got on the shot. Sometimes it's clear sometimes it's yellowish and sometimes brownish. Is this normal to not have a crazy period when on the depo shot? And is it true that I could get fat by being on the depo shot? Tell me everything you know about depo, or an experience with depo of your own.

Well, I have recently lost a lot of weight, and I was on my period regularly for about a year. I would have it once every 28 days since I was twelve, but since I started dieting I still had them, but then it October I was a bit stupid and tried to starve myself. I have not had a period since my last one in August. I am eating normally (1200 usually) now but I still don't have my period and my mom and I are very worried. Am I ever going to get it back?

I was supposed to have my period on the 19th, I've never been regular though. I've been sick lately, at the beginning of the month I was taking nyquil, then i went to the doctor and they gave me Mucinex and amoxilcilin so i was taking that on top of Concerta for my ADD. Then i got better. But now i've been having stomach cramps (like pms cramps which is normal) and I'm also experiencing breast tenderness, and I took an EPT certainty test, and the first one came out positive. So i freaked out and took 2 more and those came out negative (i took these at night). Then I took 2 more today and those came out negative as well. I used the EPT certainty (digital) and i got one positive and the other 2 were negative I took these within a 3 hour time span, then i got 2 First Responses and those came out negative (I took one of these right after i woke up). So i'm really confused and worried sick. What should I trust?
