I was wondering, if you dont really start your period when your supposed to (just some brownish discharge) does that mean you could be pregnant? or could this just be a messed up period?

Stress, illness or medication can affect your hormones changing your cycle. I would make an apt. with your doc. for a check-up, if you have concerns. In the meantime, I would take an OTC pregnancy test.

if you have been having sex unprotected maybe
Spotting Blood/Brown Discharge: This may occur when you are ovulating/mid-cycle. Sometimes early in pregnancy you may have spotting or a brownish discharge at the time your period would normally come. If you have spotting at the time of your normal period rather than your usual amount of flow, and you have had sex without using birth control, you should check a pregnancy test.
