I have 2 children both born via c-section and both were breastfed exclusively. With my first child I got my period back right away, the following month after the postpartum bleeding stopped. Now with my second child, she's a year old and I still haven't had a period. She's eating solid food, but she still breastfeeds about 4 times a day. Anyway, how long is too long to go without having a menstrual cycle while breastfeeding? I know some women don't have periods while BF, but I've always be so extremely regular... I'm worried that there could be something wrong. After my c-section I had a foul odor, lots of leakage, and redness... which I told my OB about, BUT he said I was fine because I didn't have a fever. Sex is still painful, too. :-P

Every woman's body is different including yours, as well as each pregnancy. Breast feeding will delay your cycle but I would get a 2nd opinion, if you have concerns.

I wish i had an answer to your question-i know its wierd but my mom said she always used "natural birth control" and we are all 2 years apart so i think thats pretty normal! I just wanted to say good job for breastfeeding so long:) Not a lot of moms do anymore. Its great!
