Women's Health - April 2007

I found a very painful pelvic lump 8 months ago and a CT scan confirmed this and it was removed. A week after surgery, my wound opened and i became severely infected. I have had constant pain since. I have had another CT scan, an abdominal ultrasound, a vaginal ultrasound, pelvic exam/pap, blood and urine tests. I have seen a GI specialist and have been to a pain management clinic. Nothing has shown up on any of my tests yet the stabbing pain continues daily. My wound has healed very nicely, but under my skin i can feel hardness and it hurts to touch. Any ideas of what it could be, what kind of tests should be done and/or what kind of physician could possibly help me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I feel like giving up. I am mentally, physically and financially drained.

hi, my mom got her period when she was 12 my sister got hers when she was 12 and now i am 14 and never got mine!! I do have bad cramps sometimes that only last like 3 minutes then go away and come back later. I do get discharge also, i also have pubic hair, hair under arms, small (barely an) developing breasts, but no period!
whats up with this?

I don't mean to be disgusting but I am very curious as to what this was...my guy and i had unprotected sex...about 10 min later i felt a rush of warm liquid discharge...I went to check to see what it was...my panties were wet but there was no color or smell...never had this happen before...does anyone have a clue of what this could've been...

I am trying to get a breast reduction and my doc sent me a letter saying that before they can submit my pre-documentation, I have to submit documentation of 3 months conservative treatment (ex: therapeutic bra, chiro care, phys therapy...) Do you have any ideas on what to submit w/o actually going through 3 mths of treatment?

when i woke up this morning at 6am(to get ready for school), i felt so dizzy that i was sort of stumbling. I got into the shower and was just alittle dizzy until i got to school, i took an advil and ate some prezels at about 6.57am. and then i felt better. What was wrong with me?why did i get soo dizzy?

I have a few questions that I've been wondering about.
1. I play a lot of sports and I'm really nervous about using tampons. How can you get TSS and is it common?
2. Can teachers or adults sense when you are on your period? Or know in general when you have at least started?
3. Is is hard to change tampons in school?
4. Our you suppose to tell your doctor if you are using tampons? Or ask them how to use them?
5. Everyone says I'm very very tiny but I don't feel like I am and wish I could loose some weight and feel thinner. How can I get thinner and weigh less? I'm 5'3" 100 pounds and I'm a 0 in junior pants. I already play soccer, run 5 miles almost everyday, cheer lead, dance and play b ball.

Ok, So I stink, and the problem is, I don't know why!
I'm 12 years old and I just don't know what to do...please help!
I take a shower every day, change my underwear every day, never wear the same clothes twice, they always smell good, but yet every time I go to school I still hear everyday "It stinks!" And I know it's me because first, everyone starts saying that and look at me and make jokes, and I feel miserable and hurt, and because this is my second school this year, and I have the same problems. It wasn't always like this, it was only when I reached puberty, from then on I always feel insecure and unconfident in everything and it is ruining my social life,because I can't make alot of friends.
It just really hurts me because I try so hard and I still fail, and I hate it. It's like I'm cursed. I even went into depression earlier this year because I didn't know how to handle it and I absolutley dread going to school. I'm extremely sensitive and want to be cured of this, plz help

Hello all I have never experience this and I am a little curious, I started my cycle 4/7 and ended 4/10 whcih is right, it last 3 to 4 days on a 28 cycle, this month it came 6 days earlier and today I am spotting, with slight cramps what could be the problem.

ok so ive gone to teh doctor to get checked down there and everything was fine but im getting a yellowish dischareg down there.. its kinda sticky.. should i go back and get checked..... does anyone have any idea what this could be.. it kinda smells but not a lot... and i shower almost everyday..sometimes i miss a day.....
