I just found out last night that my mom was diagnosed yesterday morning with metastatic breast cancer to the hip. Her original breast cancer was diagnosed 1999. She had radiation, chemotherapy and surgery. In 2005, she was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer to the lungs. Near the end of her chemo, she contracted a blood infection which almost killed her. She had to stop treatments because the antibiotic she was on 24/7 through an IV was so strong she couldn't take her chemo at the same time, which in turn let more cancer spread in her lung. Since her first bout with lung cancer (minus the 3 months she was taken off for antibiotics) she has been on weekly chemo and herceptin IV drip once a week. I don't really know what I am asking here, but I'm just looking for some answers anyone has for anything she's been though. If she's been getting treatments for this long, and herceptin, which is a medicine to pretty much keep you in remission, why is it still spreading?

Before I broke up with my ex, whenever I'd fall asleep, he'd put the moves on me and I'd completely freeze up when I came to and never knew what to do. He'd reach his hands in unmentionable areas, he'd fondle my chest and even tried to pull my pants down a couple of times.

I never told anyone about this. but today, I saw pictures of him, as as soon as I saw his hands and fingers...I feel like I'm going to/want to throw up.

Is this normal? If so how can I make it stop or get rid of it?

I really don't know what to do...

I went to a physical today and found that I have gotten 1 inch shorter from last year! I know this can happen w/ age, but I am only 23, I shouldn't be getting shorter yet! Should I? If anyone can tell me why or if something may be wrong please let me know. Thanks!

Im 16 yrs old and i had my first gyno appointment today. i have never been to one before so im not sure if this is normal stuff that happens there or not. im so embarrassed and i cant stop crying. im sorry if this is too graphic...

when he (my gyno) was doing my breast test he rubbed my nipples to make them hard. my friend said that at her appointments her doctor wears gloves but mine never did. when he was down at my crotch he didnt have them on either. he rubbed my cli toris too and my friend said that is not normal at all. he also kept saying stuff about my pubic hair and said "wow you can tell ur a virgin!" he also kept putting his two fingers in me and would just leave them there.
my friend also said that there should have been a lady nurse in the room but there wasnt. im so embarrassed and i dont want to go back there.

what should i do? is this normal stuff that happens at these appointments? plz help. thank you.

i'm 24 yrs old and will be 25 in Aug. i've never had reg. periods. for the past yr my periods have changed. about 2 weeks before my period i start to get cold like symptoms. stuffy nose, headaches(sometimes migraines), stomach cramps, nausea &loss of appetite. then about a week b4 my period i get back cramps(this is normal for me), horrible mood swings(where i hate every1 and everything p.o's me), bad migraines & leg cramps. then when my period finally starts for the 1st 3 days i'm doubled over in pain and by this point i'm completely and totally exhausted from the 2 weeks before and the days of my period. i only get about 1 to 2 good weeks(in a good month) out of the month where i'm not completely and totally exhausted. other than that the actual period itself is pretty normal(for me) i just don't know what else could be causing this after 6 yrs of periods. ive never had a yeast infection or any stds& don't take birth control. if ya know what this is then just let me know

I'm taking pills ( Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo) to stop my periods, basically I take the three weeks and instead of taking the week of sugar pills, I start a new pack. The problem is that my insurance will only pay for 2 months in a row and then it is too early for them to pay for it so I would have to pay for it on my own. The problem is that I can't afford to pay for the one month (Costs $50 to get.) Which one of these options should I ask my doctor about?

Nova Ring - A nurse at my doctor's office told me that you can keep it in the extra week and you won't have a period, that would eliminate the issue of having to get a Rx early and my insurance would pay for it all the time.

Depo Shot - Once every three months, but should stop period after awhile.

IUD - a hormonal one, that would last for 5 to 10 years.

I have fibroids and my doctor says that no matter what I try to do it may not work. Had ultrasound yesterday and see doctor on Monday.

Maybe Hysterectomy?

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for about 2 months and ive been on prenatals just as long. We were both virgins before marriage so neither of us have ever slept with anyone else. We have been trying every other day and yesterday was the last time we did. For the first time, today i noticed a strange smell down there (sorry haha) and i have no other symptoms that would lead me to believe it is a Urinary track infection or anything. Could this be a early sign of pregnancy, from my prenatals, from just having sex and having all the sperm and stuff in there or something else, what could this be from? Thanks!

Vaginal discharge is normal in color if that makes any difference.

Yesterday after my intercourse i had a severe pain on my vaginapain like burning severly.Nearly for 1/2 an hour i got this pain.My hubby told this was b'coz of my body heat.But i want to know is there any reason apart from body heat.I never had this pain before.Pls anyone can help me

Ok, here it goes, I am 45 years old, having symptoms of menopause i guess. I haven't read anything yet, that describes what I am going through. It all started in Dec. Had my period like normal, but lasted 3 weeks. The same the next month. Then last month 4 days but extremely heavy and a lot of clotting. I had blood taken last week, have'nt got results yet. I just haven't felt like myself. I have read about lack of concentration and confusion. I have such a hard time concentrating and doing the things I used to. I have always been a procrastenator, but it's getting ridiculious. My personal life isn't the best either and that adds stress. Not very supportive, He just doesn't know how to deal with things like this. so i've just decided to take care of me. I am hoping the blood test will show what I am lacking, I really don't know a lot about this. I'm anemic also. I need someone knowledable that could give good advise and/or support info and live chat about this..thanks
