i was wondering if there was an age limit to get breast implants if so how old you have to be???

The age is 18. Why? Because most women are not finished growing until they're 18. Hence why any doctor will make you wait until then. If you get them before the age of 18 it can cause problems.

I know that for the most part, surgeons(in the US) will NOT perform breast augmentation surgery for patients under the age of 18. This is because when you are 18, it is assumed that you have finished growing, but more importantly, you are a LEGAL ADULT at age 18.

However, it IS sometimes possible(in very rare circumstances) for a girl to receive breast augmentation surgery IF her parents sign permission for her. But there are many doctors who are morally opposed to doing this.

There are now TWO types of implants available on the market...saline(filled with salt water) or the new solid silicone gel(safer than the old silicone implants, because it is solid therefore it won't leak into other body tissues). I've heard that you have to be age 22 to receive the solid silicone gel. I do not know why this is.

I do not know if there is a maximum age to receive a breast augmentation, however I do know that there are many women in their 40s and 50s who get implants! Many women wait until that age, because by this time they are experiencing sagging as a result of age, nursing children, weight gain/loss, decreased elasticity in the skin(related to aging), etc.

Usually at least 18- that way you don't need parental consent and your breasts may have stopped growing by this age. If you are young but your breasts have not grown for years then the age of 18 would be fine. A lot of surgeons prefer you to be at least 21 as the breasts seem to have stopped growing a bit by then. When I was 18 I was a 34EE and now I am 21 and a 34G so sometimes they keep growing a bit more, if yours are growing ever so slightly then probably leave it for a while, if not, then go for it :)

Women of any age who are in good physical and emotional health are good candidates for breast augmentation. It should not, however, be performed in patients younger than 18 unless severe asymmetry exists. If the breasts are severely sagging, augmentation should not be performed without some form of breast lift (mastopexy).

It's like comparing a can of coke to a 2 litre of wal-mart brand presidente cola.... I would take the can everytime. The two litre may look more appealing but the can tastes a whole lot better.
