Yes, I suffer from it before and during my period. I asked my doctor about it and she explained that the same hormone, prostaglandin, that causes the uterus to contract and expand to cause menstruation actually cause the bowels to do the same thing, hence the diarreah.
Try taking Pamprin, as that seems to help with both types of cramping both before and during your period.
Best of luck to you.

I have notice on the day after my period ends I have that problem. I have to spend the whole day in bed, I feel weak and like I am going to throw up. But by the next day everything is back to normal. I kept thinking I had eaten something bad, but its happened for the last 3 months, so it must be connected.
Also, I swear before I get my period I become really clumsy and trip over the stairs, cut my self while cooking, burn my self of the pots, all kinds of fun. I have heard that it is linked with the hormones, like it was not enough that I spend the week before my period crying at anything (really I mean anything, songs, adverts on the TV, children) and the week after my period I become like a teenage boy, perving on any remotely good looking men.

Most women seem to experience some kind of change in their bowel function around menstruation. Some get constipated and some get diarrhoea or just go more often.

yes to all 3. It is common for that to happen. Water retention happens during your cycle along with hormone changes and both can cause diarrhea.

This could be a sign of endometriosis. Really bad cramps are also a symptom. Go to your doc. to get checked out.

When you have your period, your body's liquid retention DEFINITELY affects you ...
I regularly deal with that just before and during my cycle.
Of course, everyone's body is different.
Some women are fortunate and never deal with that.
