My little sister started her menstral cycle today, and she asked me why woman have periods. And i was just wondering about it all day...Why do woman get periods? Why cant men get periods instead?

i got my period on jan 28, but i got it again 3 days ago, 13 days in between. today i had i tampon on, and when i toke it off a piece of meat came out too, im sure it is meat cause i touch it, smell it, and put it on water to see if it was cotton coming out of the tampon, it smelled really bad, like rotten meat, and when i put it on water it changed its color to a lighter one, so it wasn't blood.
its not my 1st period, im not a virgin, this is the 1st time it happens. pls help me here, im going crazy

My 61 year old mother wants to retire next year. She doesn't qualify for medicare till 65. She has diabetes and chronic bronchitis. How would she get affordable medical care if she wants to quit working and live off her social security check. She has no money saved. She lives in New York City if that helps.

i am 13 and started my period in dec of 2005 and i missed this month i have lost 20 pounds and cut back on bad foods i work out a lot and have some stress and i am FOR SURE NOT PREGNANT so why did i miss this one or late?

I got off deppo (birth control) last January and had my first period since in December. A few weeks before is when the acne started. I also started mystic tanning but have stopped and the acne is still there.

If I make out with a guy I often *** before my pants even come off. I always try to pretend nothing is happening because I am embarassed. Sometimes I think it is obvious though. My eyes look watery and I just feel like it is so obvious.

I also one had one when I got off the bike at the gym. Standing there in the middle of a room. It's really not funny. I am being serious.
Is this really odd? I have always been this way since like 16.

I was wondering if that is normal. I used to always be a 34A and then over the past months I noticed that I went up to an 36A. Is that something I sould be worried about?

I've always been flat chested and then over time I just got a little bigger. I have been doing those breast checks every month and such and nothing. Smooth as can be. Just thought they stop growing when your like 15 or 16 years old.

But to top it all off it's been bugging me so I've been feeling around a lot lately and now they bug me from playing with them all the time. Shesh..has anyone had this happen. Never heard of it before. I'm not pregnant either.

I know these have been asked a lot but what do you women feel about the age difference between a 30 yr old woman and 25 yr old guy (me) ? I know it's only 5 years but I've heard that when women hit 30 they start looking for more "mature" guys. Any insight is appreciated....

A few days out of the month my whole body gets really sore (ie bones and joints my back cramps, my legs cramp) during the first three days of my monthly period is this normal, is any way to keep this from happening next month? and do other women get this as well? Thanks ahead of time!

I learned on Friday, I have breast cancer in both breasts. Doctor did not discuss lumpectomy, but did talk mastectomy. The lumps in both breasts are about the size of ping pong balls and the right side has a lymph node that has been affected. I want to make it clear that I did not wait to have this checked into. My old doctor refused to diagnose it when I went to him. He said it was nothing to worry about. and would do no testing. I found this new doctor in September and upon doing this physical he found the large lumps. His reaction when I saw him for the results of the mammogram were, It is very bad, very bad.

I am terrified right now and feel like I am going out of my mind.
I need hope right now. Has anyone suffered similarly and have had a good outcome.

I like being around people. I dont want to become a veternarian or a dentistt. maybe a orthapidic or a family doctor? What other things are there around that u think would fit me. Not a baby dilivery person and not a secretary. I want to be in action and help others! What other doctor/nurse jobs are there? WHat do they do? Any good sites?

I am now 12 and had my period since I was 10. I am farther developed then many people in my grade. I haven't started 2 see a gyn yet. When do u think I should start seeing one? Do they only do pelvic and breast exams? Do they do it regularly like every time u go? .......... any other info would be nice

Well, it all started out 4 years ago when me and my brother were jumping off of swings. Yeah I know pretty dumb. But I did it and landed on the side of my foot and colapsed. Well, I couldn't walk on it for like ...3 months. In total it hurt for 1 year non stop. Now it hurts on and off but now it really hurts.I was in a different country and/or contenent and didn't go to the doctor. Pretty dumb also. Well, after that it hurt whenever I just hurt it alittle it would hurt a lot. I'm going to the doctor but I have 2 wait for my mom to get back from a trip. What does it sound like 2 u? I also heard a loud crack when I landed. Does that mean I broke it? Is it possible that I broke it and it didn't grow back corrctly? What should I do? Do u think it is serious? surgery? Im only 12 FYI.

I had a hysterectomy about 5 years ago, I am 45 now. I was taking hormones and they worked wonderfully. I stopped taking them about 6 months ago because of the scare about cancer.
The flashes have diminished during the day, but as soon as I lay down in bed for the night, I get them like every 5 minutes and I can't sleep. Why is that?

Two days ago i went into Victoria Secret to purchase a new bra. They told me i was only a 32A bra. I said that seemed a little small to me and that the bra size i am now is larger then that. The lady swore to me that this was the right size bra and that the current bra i was wearing was WAY to big. Well I've been wearing the bra for 2 days now and my breasts have NEVER been so sore. My nipples feel so sore it's insane! I've never felt such pain in my breasts before. It's more on one side of my breast then the other but both sides are sore.

-When i wore the bra it felt REALLY TIGHT and almost like i couldn't breath.

-could this mean the size was to small for me??
or could it mean something else?

-i am sexually active but i am using birth control, a condom, and the pull out method.

-what do you think could it be the bra?-
