Hi, I have suffered classic migraine without aura for as long as I can remember, horrendous headache, pain that is that bad I cant sleep until I am sick, it lasts for a few days, horrible, I have recently been diagnosed with migraine with aura, a migraine known as hemiplegic migraine! I was taken to hospital with symptoms of migraine with aura and the Doc at the hospital told me he thought I had, had a TIA (mini stroke), scary as only 33 yrs old! I had CT scan, chest xray, ECG and blood test. My Doc has taken me off the pill (contraceptive), I can only have a barrier contraceptive. He has prescribed beta blockers which apparently reduce migraines with and without aura, is this true? Does anyone take beta blockers for their migraines? Do they work? Will I have to take them for life? I know I should of asked my Doctor but I was just happy that I hadnt had a TIA and couldnt wait to get home and tell my family. Please help!! I started the bcp back in january. Then, in april I got sick (literally sick ie.vomitting). I didn't know too much what it was until my mom suggested that it was the pill. So after being sick monthly from april to october, I got off the pill. Just like that. I finished the pack and never took it back again. In November, when came that time of month, I wasn't sick. So as I concluded, it was the pill that had been making me sick. I'm wondering if I could still go back on it without any trouble. A different one of course. And I plan on going to the dr. and them why I got off it and stuff. Is it possible to go back without any troubles or did I mess up my system at some point?

I'm on my third pack right now and I got used to starting my period when I started my placebo pills. I just want to know if this is normal. Somebody please reassure me.

P.S. I also have a cold, so I'm wondering if that could also be a reason for me not to have my perios.

I apologize if you have seen this kind of question a hundred times but, I am over a month (full 28 days) late for my period. I just came of the pill, so I am not sure what that usually dose to your system but either way I should have had a normal pill period anyway. I don't think that stress is a major factor, and I have pretty much ruled out pregnancy, I was wondering if anyone knew what else might be causing this, and how I could look into it further.

Is it normal to have cramps days AFTER your period? Last month I had the same thing. I have slight cramps a couple of days after my monthly. Last month I also spotted once 3 days after my period and this month the same thing happened. I'm not sure why all of a sudden things are screwing up!

in saturday i have my exams and i am very anxious.since tuesday i started not being able to sleep and so i slept at 5.00 am or maybe 6.today my heart beat has started racing, i feel my chest is heavy and i cant breath normally?any advice?ps.i am young and do not have heart probs.

Since I have quit drinking(2 years, 3 months, 4 days and 8 hrs and some odd min.'s Sober!!!!) I find that I am not as active in the sex dept. To be honest I could go without it for the rest of time, but I do think that might cause problems with my fiance`. I do not like taking meds( addictive nature) so if someone knows an ALL NATURAL supplement I could try to help me boost my libido it would help my relationship! So far I have found yohimbe and Horny goat weed but I am afraid to take something found predominently in mens supplements, for fear of ending up with hairy nipples! Anyone out ther ethat can help? Hi, I have horrible cramps when I have my period. It feels like someone is stabbing me over and over. I used to only have them on the first day of my period, but I am having them throughout my whole period. I have tried birth control pills, ibuprofen, Midol, Tylenol, Aleve, and heat pads. They get so bad that I can feel them in my back. Do you have any suggestions of what to do? My mom says it's kinda weird that nothing works and that they're lasting so long. Thanks!

I have been feeling light headed & dizzy for the past month with also nausea....It's worse in the morig & night for the nausea but it is all thru out the day.... I have got tender breasrs also..But people are telling me well, you dont feel that way unti llater in the pregrancy etc... It doesn't usually happen to me but last week I had diarehea for a few days, then my period tried to start and stopped, then it started again on the trip to see him. Then I felt like I was coming down with a flu or cold. I've been taking vitamins and I'm on anti-depressants. Guess it is stress eh?

I started a menstrual cycle on Sunday. On Monday I had bad cramps. I took a pain killer for the cramps. On Tuesday I had severe menstrual cramps, a really heavy flow, a backache, a headache that caused me to be sensitive to the light and nausea. On Wednesday my cramps, backache, nausea, and headache were gone. But, during the day I kept feeling like I was going to pass out. In the evening I went to the doctors and they tested my hemoglobin level. That can back normal. They did nothing else. I still feel like I am going to pass out. What else could be causing this feeling? What recommendations do you have?
