I started a menstrual cycle on Sunday. On Monday I had bad cramps. I took a pain killer for the cramps. On Tuesday I had severe menstrual cramps, a really heavy flow, a backache, a headache that caused me to be sensitive to the light and nausea. On Wednesday my cramps, backache, nausea, and headache were gone. But, during the day I kept feeling like I was going to pass out. In the evening I went to the doctors and they tested my hemoglobin level. That can back normal. They did nothing else. I still feel like I am going to pass out. What else could be causing this feeling? What recommendations do you have?

Thanks for your time.

I get really low potassium from my cycles. That makes me feel exhausted and like I am going to pass out as well. Sometimes I get light headed and often I am very sensitive to the light as well. Perhaps your magnesium and potassium are too low. Try a supplement from the vitamins area or see your Dr for a Chem 21 or Chem 7 ( 7 doesnt test mag levels though) if you want to know for sure. Regular levels for potassium are 3.5-5.0 and mag is 2.0 anything under those is low. High can have bad effects also and either high or low can cause hearts to stop or a heart attack so it is something to check on. I hope you feel better.

When I used to be a teenager, each myself and plenty of of my peers have been incredibly abnormal from time to time. I certainly not had my interval for a month, however I realize any person who did...and she or he's flawlessly nice now. However, I do agree that you just must search aid. A university nurse is a satisfactory proposal. If you move to a small university and shouldn't have one, check out a feminine steerage counselor or instructor (ideally in well being or technology discipline!) that you'll be able to believe. You might additionally check out calling a Planned Parenthood. I think they are able to aid with all forms of feminine problems, now not simply intercourse or being pregnant similar. The foremost factor is to understand you're now not on my own, there are tons of minor ladies without doubt bewildered via their possess our bodies...I realize, I used to be one now not too lengthy in the past

Do you drink a lot of cold beverages? if you do then you need to cut back. I went to a chinese herbalist one time because my menstrual issues were as bad as yours and they suggested i drink more hot tea, or hot water instead of cold. Taking pills everytime you get your period is not always the greatest solution because your body is telling you that it is a reliance.
Do not wash your hair the day you get your period because they said it causes more pain. I hope you feel better and this helped.

Some women have a disorder called PMDD. It's when you have extreme symptoms. I have checked into it, because I have the same problem. Just talk to your doctor, and see what she can do.
