I apologize if you have seen this kind of question a hundred times but, I am over a month (full 28 days) late for my period. I just came of the pill, so I am not sure what that usually dose to your system but either way I should have had a normal pill period anyway. I don't think that stress is a major factor, and I have pretty much ruled out pregnancy, I was wondering if anyone knew what else might be causing this, and how I could look into it further.

Thanks so much for you help and advice!

I just confirmed it with blood work a few minutes ago from my Doctor. I am not pregnant. Thanks for all the help!

It could be a couple of things. A lot of times it can take up to three months before your periods are regular after stopping birth control. It could also happen if your activity level has greatly increased lately. Stress is another common reason. And sometimes there is no good reason, it just happens. If you are concerned call your doctor and ask if you should come in

Don't be sorry! You need to know. ;) They say being young and having unbalanced hormoines can play a huge role. Some people just have irreagular cycles, too. Every body is different.
But dont downplay pregnancy if you aren't positive, you should check. Also stress, majore weight gain/loss,and as you mentioned, going on the pill can make your cycle go out of whack.
Good luck!

Your body is probably readjusting itself because you are no longer taking the pill. It can take a couple of months to get straight again. Be sure to use alternative birth control from now until your periods do start again.

If you just came off the pill, can I assume maybe your cycles weren't regular as well as you were using them as birth control? I don't know if I'd rule out pregnancy when you stopped taking bc, either.

Hormonal imbalances, and extreme weight loss or gain. Unless you have been to a doctor to rule out pregnancy, don't you rule it out. Best of luck to you.
