Women's Health - October 2006

First time was about 4-5 weeks ago, took diflucan, went away for a week. Felt itchy again the following week, used monistat 3, but it only made it worse, burning, itching. Went away for a week, had sex w/ condom and now it is itchy/burning again when I pee. I am on my period now and the GYN said they can't do much when I'm on my period and to let the period "flow it out" and to use monistat, but no way am I gonna go that route again!

What to do? I bought vagisil and azo yeast pills to possible help? But why do I keep have recurring yeast infs? My GYN just said, "well some people just are more susceptible than others" Thanks that didn't help me much GYNO!

Does anyone know what it takes for a woman to get sterilized? Is there a certain age they have to reach before doctors will perform that surgery? Is just saying that they don't want to have kids enough of a reason, or do doctors need more reason? I'm just curious! Thanks!

How much do they cost?
What did your insurance pay? I'm trying to figure out if I will have to pay for the whole procedure or if there is just a copay that I have to pay. I haven't met my deductible this year & my deductible is $1000!

About three years age I had a great healthy sex drive, but then it suddenly quit. I really have no urge to do it anymore. It really sucks because my fiance and I used to fight about why wouldn't we do it like we used to. I would tell him I just don't feel like it and he thought I was lying. Right now he is away at boot camp for marines and I want to try to get this fixed. I hate it, because all of my friends don't have this problem. Does anyone know what might be causing this. Is there a pill that maybe you can take? Please help me out, because I absolutly hate this rut. It has been way to long and I don't think it will just go away.

I have to go to the doctor- but I can barely stand the thought of it. I have horrible fear of them! I get high blood pressure and so nervous. I'd probably sweat to death waiting for the doctor to come into the room with me.

First of all, I do have a docs appointment, but it's not for another week. I came down with a head cold a month ago and got some meds for that. It seemed like my nose was so dry inside and it was always getting tickled. Now that is out of my nose, there are little bumps on my butt and it burns and itches like my nose did. What do you think this is? I only have sex with my husband, no one else, so I don't think it would be an std.........????????

i am currently taking loestrin 24. I missed a day two weeks ago but took my pill as soon as i remembered. I bled on tuesday and thursday of that week for a short period of time. since then i have been taking it normally.

i am spotting again today, even though i am about 10 days away from starting my period.

is this normal to spot for 3 days total in 2 weeks after only missing one pill?

I've been on birth control for about a year now and I've always taken them correctly. Lately my boyfriend and I have been having alot of unprotected sex, and this morning when i went to use the bathroom there was light spotting like i was about to come on my period. So i started my period today (im very regular every 29 days like clock work) and i know sometimes it can look dark almost brown but today it has been very thick thick thick and almost black! and heavy! i could honestly go thro 3 maybe 4 regular tampons during my whole period if i caould wear them longer then 4-6 hours! anyone know what this means or if its normal etc any suggestions or info would be great thankyou....

Treatment options for a 40 yr woman whose biopsy reports are suggestive of her having serous cystadeocarcinoma of ovary after cystectomy of right ovary? a 40 year old nulliparous(childless)woman (widow in first marriage lasting 5 to 6 years and married to a widower 6 months back) with no serious medical history in life underwent ovarian(right ovary) cystectomy 3 weeks back and diagnosed(as per biopsy report) of having 'serous cystadeocarcinoma of ovary'; she is,however,desirous of bearing a son for the second husband who is having 2 daughters(of 10 and 4 years) and whose wife died of hydatid cysts in lungs a year ago. Yet another biopsy report received on 19/10/2006 states,after gross examination of six slides and blocks of ovarian cyst(post-operation) and microscopic examination,that sections show ovarian tissue with tumour tissue,which is arranged in glandular pattern lined by multilayered anaplastic epithelial cells thrown into papillary fronds,in solid nests separated by fibrous stroma,in cords and discretely infiltrating into the stroma.The cells are round to oval to spindloid with round to oval to elongated nuclei showing moderate to severe degree of pleomorphism,prominent nucleoli's and abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm.The stroma shows desmoplastic reaction with areas of necrosis and inflammatory cell infiltration.The impression: Picture is suggestive of two possiblities:-1.Malignant Brenner tumor 2.Poorly differentiated papillary serous cystadeocarcinoma of ovary. Advised clinical correlation

I was on the pill for about 7 years when I last went off of it two years ago, and this past spring I was diagnosed with PCOS. Has there been any evidence of extended use of the pill contributing to the occurance of PCOS? I know it can mask the symptoms, but could it have set me up for the condition?

is this possible?? I missed the whole eggwhite thing last week I really did not notice it but this week I noticed my CM as a little thicker and I have been trying to conceive...hard to destinguish between sperm and CM LOL LOL
