First of all, I do have a docs appointment, but it's not for another week. I came down with a head cold a month ago and got some meds for that. It seemed like my nose was so dry inside and it was always getting tickled. Now that is out of my nose, there are little bumps on my butt and it burns and itches like my nose did. What do you think this is? I only have sex with my husband, no one else, so I don't think it would be an std.........????????

All medicines ,prescription and otc, have side effects. Some more extreme than others. A rash can be one of them. It also could be a number of other things. A change in body soap, laundry detergent, cologne or perfume, allergic reaction to antihistamines or decongestants. It is best for you to get it checked out by a doctor like you are next week. Sometimes after we've used something forever, all of a sudden our bodies reject it. Technically our bodies go through changes approx. every 7 years.

It would seem unlikely that the medication you took for your cold would cause a rash on your buttocks. You were probably given a medication with antihistamines to help dry up the mucus in your nose. Unfortunately, they often work better than expected and you end up drier than necessary. Colds tend to run their course and go away. Seeing a doctor for medication, unless the cold causes breathing difficulties (chest related), really isn't necessary. As for the rash... think about anything new you've used on that area. Soaps, toilet papers, and feminine hygiene products would be a more likely cause.

with some medications comes a side-effect, you are probably experiencing one. I'm sure it will be nothing to worry about, of course only the Dr. will know for sure. Hang in there and may next week come quickly.....good day..... ;)

Meds have many side effects, and a rash can certainly be one of them...just let your dr. know what is going on.
