evista is the only hormone used to treat vertebral fractures, it is an estrogen receptor modulator, not a true estrogen, but you still want to discuss the goods and bads with the doctor before you take this. there are other treatments for vertebral fractures too, fosamax is superior to evista.

In general the only indication for estrogen as a hormone replacement is menopausal symptoms, it is not idicated for prevention of osteoporosis or heart disease, good luck

Weighed with the increased chance of cervical and/or breast cancer?? Don't increase your intake of estrogen, unless you've been through menopause or a hysterectomy.
