What would cause me to bleed when I have sex? I haven't bled before and I was having sex the other day with my boyfriend for the first time and I started bleeding while we were doing it. I just want to know if that is normal or do I need to go see a doctor about it.

I had this problem once. Sometimes if you aren't lubricated enough the vaginal tissue will tear. It happens. And trust me there is alot of blood!! I didn't enough notice it until we were done, and I seen the blood on the sheets. If you had little to no pain when it happened that you probably just had a slight tear. If there were something medically wrong, you would probably feel more pain. And maybe not just during sex.

you could have PID...pelvic inflammatory disease, not to insult but and STD or cervical problems. Also different positions can bring it on as well. You need to see the doctor who can tell you if it is alright and see if you are ok ...this is the only way you will ever know.
