Typically, as my doctor has told me, yogurt can only help prevent a yeast infection and can do nothing for an infection once you have one. If the label says "contains live cultures", it can reduce your chances of yeast infection development if eaten on a daily basis.

Yogurt is basically a type of bacteria. If you have sex or use tampons or anything else, it can cause the pH to be changed, causing bad bacteria to override the good bacteria. Yogurt has the essential good bacteria that are in your vagina, so therefore, it would help to kill the bad bacteria causing the yeast infection.

The live cultures in it help to maintain a healthy level of bacteria. Basically, they are good bacteria that eat bad bacteria in your body. This helps maintain your Ph also, and the right bacteria in your intestinal tract as well.
By the way, you eat it......don't try anything else with it!!!!!
