First time was about 4-5 weeks ago, took diflucan, went away for a week. Felt itchy again the following week, used monistat 3, but it only made it worse, burning, itching. Went away for a week, had sex w/ condom and now it is itchy/burning again when I pee. I am on my period now and the GYN said they can't do much when I'm on my period and to let the period "flow it out" and to use monistat, but no way am I gonna go that route again!

What to do? I bought vagisil and azo yeast pills to possible help? But why do I keep have recurring yeast infs? My GYN just said, "well some people just are more susceptible than others" Thanks that didn't help me much GYNO!

Look up info on candida overgrowth. It may lead you to some possible answers. Candida is one of those controversial medical issues. Most doctors won't deny the existence of candida overgrowth, but the importance of detecting and treating it varies within the medical community. Its usually something a natural doctor or a homeopath will deal with. Take the information with a grain of salt, but realize that it is something that most won't dispute completely.

If you are frustrated with vagisil, etc. and want to try some natural methods of dealing with the problem at hand, I know of two that worked for many of my friends. You can try yogurt, applied topically, or just eat a lot more of it. If you are vegan/non-dairy, soy yogurt with the live active cultures works just as well. Women I worked with at a natural grocery store inserted garlic cloves (tie a string on and its just like a tampon) and this cleared up their infections very well. This did not work for me, but I was the only one I know that tried it that did not have good results. Eating more soy yogurt helped. Good luck whatever you do.

You may not have a yeast infection so that is why the medicine is not working for you. You may have a vaginal bacteria infection called bacterial vaginosis which is a common infection that is similar to a yeast infection. The only way to get rid of this infection is an antibiotic which is prescribed by you gyn. I had the same issue and spent so much money on yeast infection medicine. This infection is caused by the change in your natural vaginal bacteria. Google this infection to get more information and to see if you have similar signs. Hope this helps.

I suggest treating the cause rather than just the symptoms with a couple all-natural supplements - Optiflora and Garlic Complex.

Optiflora is a two-product system that uses new technology to protect beneficial microflora during the rigors of shipping, storage, and the acidic journey through your stomach. Includes Probiotic (Bifidus & Acidophilus...microflora) + Prebiotic (FOS...food source for microflora). Patented guaranteed delivery of 500 million microflora to intestines.

Garlic Complex: Destroys overgrowth of yeast.

Hope this is useful and feel to contact me with questions.

maybe ur allergic to something u wash ur panites in or the latex in condoms. pay attention to what u do different when u dont have tha infection it may be somethin u normally wouldnt notice. like tha soap u take ur shower with or fancy bath gels cuz that can irritate it too.

Do you use liquid soap to wash...sometimes that could cause those symtoms...or reinfected by partner who needs treatment also...or i am shy to say ....also sex toys can be contaminated.
