I am getting the Mirena IUD in about 2 weeks. After talking with my doctor, we decided this was the best option for me and I was excited to get it. I started reading about it online ( I know I shouldn't have) about it and now I am a little worried. I am a 21 yr old female in a monogamous relationship. Never had any STDS and have not had a child. I'm a little worried about the pain and possibility of infertility if something goes wrong. I don't do well with hormones estrogen in particular and this seemed like my only alternative next to condoms. The doctor told me that there is only 1/7 amt of progesterone in the mirena as in the pill and that it is only excreted in the uterus and not in the blood stream. So I just want to know what you think....and if it is okay that I haven't had a child. I'm worried about a possible puncture to my uterus would this really render me infertile??

I accidently shot myself in the stomach playing with my dads gun. i don't want to go to the hospital b/c they will think i'm suicidal. What should I do? It really hurts, and there's alot of blood. If you go to the doctor and they say u have uti, can they determine what exactly is causing the infection? I know there are many things that can cause it like bacteria, etc. Please help me with this subject. thanx!

Occassionally I experience bouts of depression due to day to day living, etc. Does anyone out there have any suggestions on what to do when this happens.....besides medication or seeing a physician. It isn't bad enough to seek those measures, but it is very disturbing to me. I find myself wanting to sleep all of the time.....or just lay around and do absolutely nothing!

ok, most of the people answered the question by the way that i've been feeling. but is it normal to bleed not "lightly" but like the second day of your period, which isn't heavy or light. i don't have cramps or anything and the bleeding is sporadic. as i stated before i am so tired, and i crave sweets. does this really sound like a pregnacy for real?
