Well you normally have to think 'why am I acting like this?' What is the reason for your depression. Is it something you can stop by yourself? if you do not want to seek professional help try getting some colse friends or family to help you.
One thing that may help is each morning make a list of 5 things you enjoy... it could be as simple as flowers or seeing your friends, whatever it is write it down. Once youve done that put it up somewhere where you can see it often and refrence it. And at the end of every week look at the things you've written down, and think about how much you would miss out on by sitting around your house.
If this doesnt or other methods dont work, it would be very wise to go see a professional. I hope you feel better :)

If you don't feel like doing anything, try grabbing a good book and reading outside in the sun. The sun is a natural anti-depressant. Try taking a nice walk around the block. excercise releases endorphins into your system which helps the mood. If little things like that don't help, maybe you should change up your routine. Try playing hookey from work and going out with a bunch of girlfriends for the day. Those things just may help.

You sound like i use to feel wish I could sleep just to make time go by and so I wouldn't think so much. I think It helps to have a friend someone to talk to that helped me. Thing's have changed a little for me since I found out I had cancer. I'm glad to be alive before I was so depressed I thought I didn't want to live. But I know I want to live. I just want to be happy! Try finding a friend to talk too or find something that you like to do. I like Bingo lol I hope you find something to make you happy life is to short to be unhappy. If you ever need to talk I'm here! A friend

exercise, and get out in the sun. make yourself get out and get active. if these symptoms are enough to get your attention, then you need to get a physical to make sure there is not an underlying medical condition causing the depression. once you are medically cleared, then seek a licensed mental health professional to help you with your depression. you may need only therapy or maybe you and your therapist will opt for some light medication. you need to do something about it before it worsens and really takes toll on you mentally. it will begin to affect your quality of life. take control now and develop a plan of action.

seek counseling is all I can give you if you don't want to go on anti-depressants. I was diagnosed with depression by an ER doctor and my physician. If you don't do something about it it could affect your health to the point of hospitalization. I ended up in the ER with severe panic attacks as a result of my deoression problems, you should get it taken care of.

I found the best remedy for depression to be go for a walk, take a hot bath, listen to your favorite music,or invite a best friend over to discuss how your feeling and if none of these work then you need maybe to see your doctor for some further help maybe he can give you a mild med to help your depression.
