The only way to prevent it is to stop exercising your legs. The whole point of exercise is to tone fat into muscle. Running and jogging and swimming are the best leg toning exercises. If you don't want them muscular, stop doing them.

I'll trade legs with you. Mine are flabby. I'll take sexy, muscular legs over flabby ones any day.

I don't think this can be prevented. If you are already very thin and don't have any body fat, your legs will get muscular as you run. If you are a bit chunky and are running, your fat will turn into muscle as well. But, maybe you could do other workouts besides running that may help your legs stay skinny (in the thighs or what not). I don't think it's bad to have strong legs. I wish my legs were stronger all the time. Tina Turner legs rock! But if it is really bothering you, stop running. Do other workouts that concentrate on your upper body or play a sport (if you are doing this in school) that uses muscles in other areas (like bowling, haha jk). That's my only advice.

By running your legs won't get any more muscular. I seen your pics and they look great, they are nice and tone, not muscular at all. The only way they can get more muscular if you start working out with weights and I don't think you are. Keep up the good work, you are fine.

If you exercise really hard, things like that happen. Try doing lesser activities ( don't put so much strain on your legs, and they won't bulk up). Your legs look fantastic, though. Sorry......just an observation.

Hard to tell from the picture but your legs look good from here. I can't think of any female runners whose legs didn't look just pretty durn good.

Stop running you idiot. I looked at your profile and all the questions that you have asked are about yourself and your body. Is that all you can think about? Really you ain't all that! Get a life.

p.s. There could be some really good blond jokes made up about you! ha ha

i have an elliptical machine in my home gym & if you set it on a perfect resistance (or even if you speed walk on a tred mill) it will tone you instead of building up big bulky muscles. try to do more exercises geared towards toning instead of muscle building. you can find great exercises in cosmopolitan, seventeen magazine, or other women's magazines. good luck!
