A reason why a girl's period would change from time to time is because of her hormones. When you start hanging out with new girls and with one girl all the time you will start getting your period around the same time they're on theirs. Another reason why your period comes a couple of days earlier or a couple a days later is if you're sexually active or doing things that get you aroused. Your hormones change so your period also changes. There's no reason to worry about it.

Periods can vary in length. It is not unusual for your cycle to be a little off at times. Also it can depend on your age.

If you have just started your periods then they can be erratic at times as your body adjusts to hormonal changes. At any age you can experience late periods. I've experienced this myself from time to time and i'm 34. If you are really concerned then a visit to your doctor should help ease your mind :-)

Young girls' cycles can vary. I'm still a teenager, and I don't have a definite start date yet.
