I just bought a meter to detect how much humidity is in my home. IT is at 55% and on the box it says it shouldn't be over 50%. What can i do to lower the humidity? Is a dehumidifer the only way? Should I start to worry about mold growing now?

I order a cafe mocha at Starbucks, and it happens every time. I order one somewhere else, and it doesn't.

What is it about Starbucks that gives me this problem? What do they put in it??

So last night I noticed after eating that my gums inside of the top of my mouth on the left and right side of my gums were puffy or swollen...so this morning they seemed a little more swollen and that the outside of my gums on the top of my mouth were a bit puffy too. What could this be?

i remember as far back as 11 years old when my parents would yell at me to go to bed and i'd lay there for hours and not sleep. now i'm 21 and it still seems like no matter what i do i CAN'T GET TO SLEEP.

my usual pattern will start out on very little sleep (about 2-3 hours, sometimes less) and i'll be miserable all day but at night i'll still have a hard time getting to sleep. next night i'll get maybe 4 hours of sleep. then the next night i will CRASH and go to bed around 10 or 11 (which is INCREDIBLY early for me). then that night i absolutely can't get to sleep and the whole cycle starts over again.

i try not to take naps and i exercise at least 4 times a week. i also try to stay off the computer at night.

i'm a bit scared to take sleeping pills because i don't want to be dependant, but here it is almost 6am and I HAVE CLASS IN 3 HOURS and i haven't been to sleep even though i got up at 9:30am!

should i give sleep meds a try and if so which should i ask my doctor about?

Last year was the worst year of my life. My mom died of breast cancer, my boyfriend of 2 years dumped me for my best friend, my father became an alcoholic, I lost in the school presidential elections and my pet hamster Stewie died (he was murdered by our neighbor's tabby cat). It was my all-time low and I didn't know what to do. I felt useless, unloved, unworthy and abandoned. In short, I was a loser. Then at a party, I discovered the wonders of Lortab. It was a pain reliever and it made me feel good. I found myself craving for the temporary happiness it gives me. It was fun for a while until I felt it's negative effects. Now, I want to start over with my life. I guess I'm a loser because I got addicted to Lortab not because I was abandoned by my loved ones. Please help me find a drug rehab.

Nana, my former nanny, is suffering from general anxiety disorder. She worries about every little thing - dirty laundry, picnics, allowances, family gatherings... whatever. It's not bad to get worried sometimes but she's overdoing it. She worries too much. She always seems scared even if there's nothing to be scared about. She's also having problems with her health. She always feel dizzy and nauseous. Her head aches often and her heart always pound twice as fast. Please tell me the treatments for GAD. I really want to help Nana. I know it's hard to live a life filled with tension and worries.

I work for a pretty large hospital and they have just passed a policy for when the ER reaches a certain capcity they have to start moving patients up to the nursing floors to rooms wether they are clean room or dirty room. I know how it will help decrease the waiting time in the ER but then I see theis as a infectious hazard especially when the patient immune system is not functioning at it's best it seems like we are putting them in a more exposed enviroment for infection. The ER reaches this capcity at least once a week mostly thur-sat...I find this disturbing...Would it disturb you as a patient to find out that you are paying for a dirty room?

My friend said something about a "colon spazm" but I honestly have no idea, and my mom doesn't understand what im going through!! please help!
