For OTCs, I personally like Excedrin Migraine.

I feel for you - have a hat on in the office today and my eyes are throbbing. The best thing for both of us would be to get away from the computer!!

Hang in there, man - migraines SUCK.

First go home. Then have a soak in a warm bath, to loosen up your neck and shoulder muscles. If you've got someone who can give you a shoulder and neck massage, great.

If you catch the migraine early enough, have a cup of coffee and some toast, to put something on your stomach and get some caffeine into you. Caffeine causes a lot of migraines, but if you drink it at the right time, it can also alleviate the pain. Strange but true.

In fact, if you catch the migraine really early - anything with ASPIRIN will help, as aspirin thins the blood and migraines come about because the vessels in the temples and head have decreased, so the blood is not able to pump through at the normal rate of speed. If you thin it out a little to help it along, this can help at the very beginning of the migraine.

Next take 2 ADVIL MIGRAINE gel capsules. Excedrin can be good, but it makes me even more nauseous and dizzy and doesn't do much for the pain for me.

Take a cool damp washcloth, lay it over your eyes and lie down somewhere quiet and cool.

If after an hour or 2, its gotten worse, take 1 or 2 TYLENOL PM to knock you out, so you can sleep it off. Youll be a little drowsy when you wake up, but at least the pain will be gone.

so - plain Aspirin, Advil Migraine and Tylenol PM.

If I'm not mistaken, I think Excedrin Migraine has a mixture of Aspirin, Tylenol (Acetaminophen) and caffeine. It's GREAT for headaches of all kind. Even the migraines where it hurts to lay down or open your eyes.

Several of my friends swear by Excedrine Migraine, but something in that makes me sick, so I take the Goodies Headache Powders. They taste like battery acid, but if you can find them in the pill form, nothing works faster or quicker. Gas stations are the best place to find them, for some bizarre reason.

Ibuprofen for the pain and dramamine for the nausea.

that Head-On stuff actually does help me and caffeine is good for headaches (though withdrawal from caffeine will cause them so be careful)

Sometimes I have to take tylenol if the ibuprofen doesn't finish it off, but...tylenol dehydrates me for some reason and dehydration is the main cause of my migraines..so...
