I have this project and I need to know what is inside alcohol that makes you sick and the cost of alchol and why it is addicting.

It's the alcohol (ethanol). If you drink too much your body cannot handle it.
Bootleg alcohol can have contamination with poisons like methanol, but I think what you are talking about is the alcohol itself. Look up alcohol poisoning on google.

You get sick from dehydration and impurities.
