I often read about how doctors make life and death decisions only. but doesn't the nurses do the same if the doctor isn't there. Like if a patient is about to code...or anything in that nature. Don't the nurses have to make quick judgments on cardiac rhythms to determine whether calling a code is necesarry.

Ok, here's some background info.... Im 16 and 100 lbs, Im NOT underweight my doctor says and I have body fat on me--
....

For some reason, i get headaches very easily-- A hard homework assignment, a hot day, loud noises and more do the trick... and

I HAVE TO EAT at least every 2 hours or else I get very dizzy, sick, weak, horrible headache and to the point when I can barely even pick up my feet... Someone mentioned that i may be hyperglocemic...

What do you think is wrong with me? What is Hyperglocemia and could that be it?

I was sitting in the bath and all of the sudden i got reallly dizzy and felt really tired, I barely had time to think about it before it just got black.... And then I woke up to my dad knocking on the door... I think I may have been out for awhile because he was yelling and said he had been yelling several times...I didn't feel sick after or anything-- So I don't know if maybe i was sleeping or passed out?

Normally when I fall asleep I KNOW it when its happening, but this time it was just like BOOM! And after only about 5 minutes of sitting down! And I didn't feel tired at ALL before and normally I can't fall asleep in anywhere else but my bed...

HELP? Did I fall asleep or pass out? Because I have no idea!

I have had diarrhea several times a week for the past 7 months. I have also had blinding pain from my teeth for the past 7 months. I have been told I need to have the teeth cut out, and I am having that done on Monday. Is it possible that the diarrhea might stop after the surgery? I've lost 20 pounds already, and can't afford to lose anymore. I'm down to 100 pounds and I'm 5'5.
Thanks!

One of my best friends just unexpectedly lost her mother, although it was a great shock to us all death is a part of life and I except it.
I have never really lost anyone really really close to me to experience it and when you lose your mom, I know it really hits hard.
Well, she often says, " I'd do anything to bring her back."
Do you really mean this?
I mean if she was to just pop up from the dead, wouldn't you sh|t yourself?

I say this because I know if for instance my deceased grandmother was sitting in her chair when I got home, I'm taking off running, ask questions later. Matter fact, the Lord would have to come to me Himself to tell me why he brought her back.

I understand she's grieving but why do people often say that when they lose someone?

I guess the question is, what would you if the person you just lost, miraculously appeared back into your life?

My mom and I had an exceptionally close relationship. She lived next door to me the last ten years and I was her caregiver. I helped her with everything (cleaning, shopping, doctor's appointments... pretty much everything). We were always there for one another.

She went into CHF over the holidays and eventually came home with hospice. I thought she would be happy to be home. The month before she died she said some very hateful things to me - accused me of wanting her to die, pushing her to die. Told me not to cry crocodile tears for her - she'd soon be gone and I'd have everything.

These words devastated me. I can't understand why she would say those things when I have pretty much devoted myself to her care for the past ten years. The nurses said they see this a lot - dying people lashing out against those they love the most. She was on a lot of meds at the end and her electrolytes were messed up. Anyone else have a similar experience? Why would she do that to me?

I know in the long run marijuana could kill you from tar damage(even that is heavily contested). Alcohol can, kill you your first time drinking, but can marijuana?
