It takes about three weeks for the medication to reach an adequate blood level that you really begin to feel the full effects. I remember when I started taking my antidepressants I felt weird for a while when taking them. After the three weeks, actually a little less, I feel like myself again. Hang in there.

i've got been taking Fluoxetine (Prozac) for some years now and that i've got on no account suffered any ill consequences, neither have everyone else i understand who has taken them. They started having an effect interior of two weeks and that i felt practically back to conventional after a month and that i'm basically on the minimum dosage! you will hear an excellent form of detrimental comments approximately anti-depressants yet thats basically because of the fact each and every person is rapid to moan whilst issues arent the way they choose them to be. for each detrimental journey of those drugs there will be 50 positives yet you dont hear approximately them lots as whilst the drugs artwork then each and every person is happy and so wont be at right here complaining. pass see your well being care provider and communicate your recommendations because of the fact i think of anti-depressants ought to help you experience extra suitable, what have you ever offered to lose? wish you experience extra suitable quickly xx

I have been taking Zoloft for 9-10 years and it has helped me tremendously. I had those same feelings when I started but they went away after a few weeks. I am currently trying to get off of the them and if you're smart, you'll do the same. Try Yoga or some kind of meditation because all medicines like this change your personality. At first it's great but after a while you find you really don't like who you are and it's extremely hard to get off them. I want my old self back instead of this zombie like creature I have become. I would rather have the anxiety. Good-luck to you....the path you choose is yours to make.

headache and dizziness are normal side effects of the drug that is why you have to take it after dinner. initial effects of the drug will occur after 2-3 weeks. it's kinda hard but youo'll get used to it. If you have a check-up with your doctor and you kinda feel like you can't take the pain anymore, you could ask your doctor about it. but changing to another anti-depressant will take some of time because you couldn't just abruptly stop a drug and take another one. there are different effects of different drugs.

It can normally take a month for anti depressants to take effect. I'd hang in there unless you become suicidal..otherwise, STOP.
tell dr nxt week what side effects u have been feeling.

they may need to lower dosage or switch drugs on you. I have been taking 20mg/day of Lexapro for several yrs w/no adverse side effects. I didn't like zoloft myself...worked great on depression, but not my anxiety, and messed w/sexual issues...
