Hansen's disease, Leprosy, is caused by a slow-growing Mycobateria leprae, in other words a bacterial infection. It is resistant to most treatment. The result is tissue death in the extremeties, hence you lose your fingers, toes, nose.

I think there's no such word as LEPRACY.
Maybe you're looking for "Leprosy"

lep·ro·sy [lépprəssee]

tropical skin and nerve disease: a tropical disease mainly affecting the skin and nerves that can cause tissue change and, in severe cases, loss of sensation and disfigurement.

LEPROSY is an infection by the bacterium Mycobacterium leprae. It is a nasty and insidious disease.

The most classic sign of the disease that everyone remembers is the nerve damage. Lepers who have been infected for a long time become unable to feel sensations (particularly of pain) in their extremities and so they can sometimes be ignored and injured grievously without the patient knowing about it!
