I thought about it for a while but haven't reached any definite conclusions.

- The air-conditioner was on when I stepped out.
- I hadn't had any caffeine.
- I stayed in the bath for about half an hour with limited movement.
- The bath was only barely steamy. It was almost tepid.

Any ideas?

My friend's dad dropped a 15-year-old Walgreen's thermometer, and it split and broke. He was trying to clean it up, but then (I'm not sure how it happened) and obviously must have come in contact with it. He's now got a temperature, and is shivering (so she says). How should they despose of the mercury, and could any real harm come to her father? Please and thank you, this is kind of an urgent matter.

I mean I know it is supposed to be warm but lately it has felt hot and kinda stingy. I don't eat spicy things so I don't know why it's like that.

My 80 yr old mother will shortly be undergoing surgery for which I believe she may need some in-home care afterwards. She has two kinds of insurance (Medicare and a supplement), with no assets to speak of. Does anyone know how I go about finding out what she might be entitled to vis-a-vis in-home care? I've read a bit online, but between long-term care, short-term care, home-health care, custodial care, palliative care, Medicare parts A,B,C, and D, and blah, blah, blah....you get the picture. And what if she needs care on a more regular basis, depending on how this all turns out? Overall, I feel like I'm in a bit over my head. Any guidance out there? And thanks for your answers.

Every night when I start to get a little tired and I'm looking at the computer screen my eyes can get blurry looking at the screen and when I have much work to do it becomes very annoying and hard to ignore. If I take out my contacts, the blurriness will stop.

Everywhere I have been in the world, the entry door to a public toilet facility opens inwards, which means when I am finished and I wash and dry my hands, I need to grab a handle to get out! I don't know how many people have used the facility and NOT cleaned their hands before exiting! So, now my hands are dirty again. Surely outward opening doors which I could push with my forearm or shoulder would be better?

I've suffered some really painful injuries that in no way could have been deliberate or faked, but the doctors were reluctant to precribe anything but cold paks. I'm a professional who has never abused anything, but I notice that doctors seem to develop "writers cramp" in dealing with anyone even close to being young. Meanwhile a senior citizen has a back ache or something and they get multiple prescriptions of painkillers like Oxycontin or Percocet. What is going on here????? Has anyone else felt that they have had to suffer needlessly? Any suggestions??? (maybe I should just resort to internet pharmacies or the black market!)

My fiancee' used to use these eyedrops given to her from an eye doctor that would force her eye open. It looked really bizarre because it would cause one to be fully open, no matter the size of the other one. Does anyone know what the name of this medication is ???

I just got my flu shot this afternoon and there is a blood drive tomorrow. Anyone know if it's ok to donate or should I wait. I will ask the blood drive personnel but I wanted to see if anyone else has done it. I make it a point to donate as often as possible so I would like to.
