I suppose you mean keeping your mind off of unhealthy things. There are two kinds of health. There is spiritual health and there is material health.

Spiritual health is actually the most important kind of health. Realizing our true spiritual existence is really what separates human beings from animals.

The material health is important too, but we just don't want material health to exceed spiritual health in importance. Material health includes health of the body and mind. But, may also include social health such as financial and legal.

Both spiritual and material health can be improved with the right knowledge.

Find the knowledge that is good for your two kinds of health. Associate with those who can encourage your health.

So finding better things to do with your mind and body will help you to keep your mind off of unhealthy things.

I'm not sure of what you should do, but some things to avoid: listening to sad songs, love or otherwise, doing anything that you know will remind you of your situation, sitting around doing nothing, etc. Join a club/recreational activity/sport. Seriously. Even if it's something smaller than that, try to do something that completely takes your mind off everything, not just the situation. Try something you've never done before, whether you want to or not. Look for opportunities. Eventually, you'll be able to swallow whatever it was that happened to you. Hope this helps, and I'm sorry for your pain. I think most people can relate.

I'm assuming here you mean your heart, figuratively ...

Sorry to say, escaping won't make it better. It's like mourning the dead ... each time you involuntarily think of it, you remember what happened, you hurt, and you fight it, thinking of how you wish it weren't true, but it is true, over and over ... your mind eventually learns to skip the fighting part to the "but it is true" part and you accept it. Observe yourself doing this and try stopping before the fight part and saying to yourself, "That's what she said, it hurts a lot and there's nothing I can do about it but grow to be someone who doesn't need her." It won't work the first several dozen times, but eventually it will.
