My fiancee' used to use these eyedrops given to her from an eye doctor that would force her eye open. It looked really bizarre because it would cause one to be fully open, no matter the size of the other one. Does anyone know what the name of this medication is ???

She probably had homatropine, not atropine. I'm guessing she had some inflammation, and the drops were prescribed to relax the muscles inside her eye. Atropine is rarely used these days, except in severe cases of inflammation.

Other drops might be: Tropicamide or Phenylephrine, but I doubt those would have been prescribed.

A number of different medications can cause the pupil to dilate. Here is a list:

I don't know which one she got, but likely it was atropine.
