I'm hearing soemthing about a problem where a person experiences pain in their ear after eating spicy food. any info?

The only thing that I can think of that might cause this is perhaps an allergic reaction to something in the food. You might look it up. I tried but didn't find anything substantial but maybe you would.

spices are spicey cause they highly excite the taste buds which are apart of the nervous system which is where pain is from, i dont know how to stop that odd pain except for to stop eatting spicey things, its somehow indirectly effecting ur friend's ear. maybe some kind of nervous system problem, inherited or picked up along the way.

It happens to me too except I have pain in my scalp.

its common - any extreme flavor can cause it to happen....i dont think its serious ... but if pain is persistant see a doctor...because i'm not one...lol
