I have a low grade bipolar as my psychologist keeps saying. But I really don't want to take something for it because I take a lot of pain medication and I'm afraid that it would take the edge off my writing style. For 5 days I was really depressed and had a very short fuse. It was bad to the point that i was thinking about suicide. But today, eventhough i was in a lot of pain, I felt great. Kind of giddy and playfull. I've noticed other ups and downs like that. But mood stablizer have a lot of side effects. I really don't know what to do.

Not trying to be morbid, but, by what circumstance of death are you most afraid of?

Mine is suffocating or drowning, or getting pinned under something. I'm not claustraphobic or anything... Just afraid of the feeling of being trapped. Include water, and I'm toast! I could NEVER be in the Navy.

What about you, what freaks you out?

...like severe schizophrenia, or the ones referred to as "vegetables"...the ones not able to enjoy life, whatsoever. I guess this teaches us to care for others and nurture without being given back, but it still bothers me. Why do they have to suffer and not have much--if any quality of life ? This bothers me...

Sometimes I feel young, sometimes I feel old. I guess I'm at that see-sawing inbetween stage. What is the one sign that will tell me that I'm undoubtably, irrereversibly old? (and the see-saw thuds to the old side as if an elephant sat on it).

I am currently 20 years old but living the life and body of a 24 year old. I feel left out and have a hard time finding that right group of people to fit in with. All the people my age go out drinking, partying and have sex. I stay home, work and occassionally go out now and than. I feel school and work are more important. Am I a bad person for choosing this rather than drinking and having sex. I mean it like everyone my age I know has had sex and don't work. I want to fit in so I see it as if I need to drink and have sex to fit in with others.

Is bi-polar disorder genetic? And if so, can it begin to surface later in life? Like in the early thirties? I know someone whose mother is bi-polar and recently the daughter has been having mood swings - but she wasn't like that when she was younger. Just wondering.

I know when you look at me you see a sexy face and a hot body and you think that i have it all and my life is so glamorous, but its not. I'm on prozac, how shocked are you? And you know, considering how sexy i am does that add an extra element of shock to it?
