Oh, all you punk teenagers are real funny. Where's my cane and my hearing aid? LOL No, seriously. You all think it's real funny now. So did I. I thought 40 years old was majorly ancient. What really is funny is how quickly your life goes by. One day you look in the mirror and wonder who that person is looking back at you and you realize you're still basically the same person you were when you were a punk teenager, it's just your body that has gotten old. It's true some people when they get old get dementia. But then so do some young people. Yes, I do listen to the moldy golden station to hear my favorite music, so will you. Will you be old then or will your body have grown old around your young mind? In my mind I'm at my prime. my body has a different opinion. I love things that you'll never know about except in history books. Things you can never quite understand. A slower, more harmonious, more loving way of life. I'm not old. My body is just wearing out.

Ha Fred the dog cracked me up..
When I haven't had enough sleep I feel 100
And when I feel good and all dressed up about 29..
I still love the 70's..
I love any kind of music from Susie Quatro to Pink..
Remember at 17 how you thought 37 was ancient, well that's what the teenagers think now.. But it all keeps moving ahead and one day they will wonder the same thing as you.. We all have our turn..
Keeping up with modern things, Internet, music etc I think keeps your mind from vegetating..
But that doesn't mean you have to leave behind or forget the things you once loved..
My neighbours are 84 and 106 nearly.. Mother and daughter and they are an inspiration..
Keep learning and living everyday or you may as well lay down and let the daisies grow up around you, then you are truely old or spiritually dead inside!!
Your past is who you are, and now maybe the best is yet to come..

You're as young as you feel on inside no matter how you look on the outside. If you feel like a teenager, then you're more than welcomed to act like that and no one will say anything against it :)
I believe that having fun, enjoying life and thinking positively are one of the best ways to either relieve stress and/or even feel young, healthy, happy and wonderfull :) It's always all right to act silly without a care in the world... I do it all the time :)

I started realizing age was creeping up on me... when all the woman I find attractive, maybe flirt with, look at you funny and you can see it in their faces that they think you are pervert... you know your age has creeped upon you because in the earlier years they were flattered you were interested... now they are scared....Could be a sensitive indicator... Second confirmation I had was when one of younger beauty's moved in with me, it was awesome for a while, as things progressed and we settled into a comfortable pattern ...I realized about the middle to the end of the week I was preferring sleep over sex because she was killing me. Then I knew I was too old.-rob

I think when you spent more time thinking about the past then the future. Unless, of course, you're a historian. But still, I think your old when more of your life has already happened than is going to happen, so you spent more time remember what you've done in the past, talking about it with friends, telling stories about how things used to be, that kind of thing, than planning for the future and imagining what you're going to do when you "grow up."

When you like to be in a crowd because
they keep you from falling down.
When the parts of your body, with arthritis
are the parts that feel the best.
When your favorite section of the newspaper
is "25 Years Ago today."
When a big evening with your friends
is sitting around comparing living wills.
When your knees buckle but your belt won't.
When your clothes go into your overnight bag
so you can fill your suitcase with pills..............LOL

You are as old as you feel you are. I know some people who act older at 5 then some people who are 50, if you get my meaning. Try and stay young as long as you can, both physically and mentally. Keep active and you will stay young longer.

i think "old" is a state of mind. for me, having kids made me get old pretty fast...hahaha but also wrestling on the bed with my hubby makes me feel really youthful. it really varies from time to time. besides, people today are changing their views on what it is to age.... i keep hearing people say things like 30 is the new 20 and 50 is the new 40. i think slowly but surely people are starting to realize that age is just a number and old really is just a state of mind.

I once asked a woman who was a hundred about how she felt. She said I feel good and it beats the alternative. Her 82 year old daughter cared for her and said I feel young myself.
So, your answer would be when you feel you are old.

Looking a twenty-year-olds and realizing I could be their mother and therefore their children's grandmother, was disconcerting, but even that I could put out of my mind. It was looking down at my hands and seeing those scaly wrinkles that never go away that did it for me.
