Well if you are on the level, I would hope that this is not the place you would want to make your last cry for help. Four or five years is a long time to live under such a veil, and it effects the way you live.
If you haven't already, you need to seek professional help. Family can sometimes be hard to turn to, so try and look up some hotlines. Talk to people to can give you some solid references or guidance like a family doctor.
Don't feel you are alone, there are lots of people out there who feel the way you do for a lot of different reasons. Life can be tough sometimes, but if ever you have looked at a flower or the smile of a child, you must also know that it is full of beauty... good luck and take care!

I am now age 54. I had those thoughts since age 5. They would just come into my mind whether I wanted them or not. Eventually, I had a nervous breakdown & was hospitalized. It came to light I had been raped when age 3. I had been living with post traumatic stress syndrome for almost 50 years as well as a severe major depression and had generalized anxiety disorder. They also found I was born with a birth defect known as dysthymia which is a form of mild to moderate depression that you have since birth. The very first thing you must do is call your local crisis hotline when you feel this way--or even when you don't.
They can help you if you are feeling suicidal. They are also a great resource and can put you in touch with community sources for psychotherapy (I had therapy and am most grateful for it) and to a psychiatrist. No, going to a psychiatrist does not mean you are crazy. A psych is merely a medical doctor who knows the diseases of the brain and mind and knows BEST (better than any family doctor) which medication can help you overcome this problem. It can be resolved. After 50 years of wanting to die, only 2 years of treatment and having the proper medication, I have finally the life I have always wanted. I have never been happier. You too can feel this good, but you must have the courage to ask for help. That is all it takes--asking for help. Please, get professional help. You have a medical problem. MEDICAL--you are not insane. You can be helped.
Please do this. Your life is altogether irreplaceable in the eyes of God. No one can take your place. Nobody knows how to be you better than you. You are needed here. Please get help today. You have touched my heart and I wish I could reach out and hug you and tell you it will be OK. I know how painful it is. But it can and will go away if you get help from a professional.
I am glad I saw your question tonight. I hope that I have been of some help. It would sadden me if you left this beautiful world without enjoying all it has to offer first.
Promise me you will get medical attention for your illness. Even if it means you drive yourself to the emergency room this minute, you will get treatment.

So do not drink alcohol.
Alcohol is potentially pretty insidious. There are actually better ways to get a feeling of exhilaration, and most of them are pretty healthy.
Get a good, nutritionally-balanced diet. Get plenty of sleep. When you feel hyper or tense - get some exercise. Also, if you feel down, try to get up and do something like bike-riding or some dumb bells.
Alcohol is both a stimulant and a depressant. So it can make people do some pretty crazy things. Do a little research on it, and you will see. These days, with the web, you can find out what is up with it in just a few minutes. You will find enough information to realize maybe something is wrong with it, not you. And the only thing that is wrong with you, is it.
If you cut out booze and any other stuff like that, are exercising/sleeping/eating well, and have thoughts/actions like that still - then you should get some counseling.
Ever hear the joke that goes, "A man goes to see his doctor. He tells him that every time he drinks some cocoa with his spoon in his cup, he gets a sharp pain in his eye. His doctor says, then do not drink your cocoa with the spoon in your cup!"
There is a reason people have been telling that joke a long time. It has a moral.

First off don't listen to the morons that joke.... DO NOT KILL YOURSELF...
Think about this....
Why? And Why Not?
Why do want to kill yourself and is it worth it? And why not pick yourself up from whatever it is that your going through and get it together.
I am not a person who will baby you and tell you what it is you must do, but I keep things real....
A lot of people say that when they kill theirselves everything will be better and yada yada yada... but think about this when you die you die with you own two eyes closing and no one else.... Everyone will mourn for a period of time and then they will get over it.... I'm not going to tell you that there will be people that you will hurt if you do this..cause you already know... and even if you don't think you have any..what is the logic in killing yourself...
We all have purpose and have you seriously fufilled yours? What makes you better than the poor child that wants life but doesn't have a choice when its taken away due to circumstances beyond their control, what about the person that waits in a hospital as their son, daughter, father or mother fights with a terminal illness...why be so selfish and ungrateful for the life you have.... you have a life that is unthreathened so live it... people go through stuff all the time.... myself I would what I going to eat from time to time cause I'm trying to make a dollar out of penny... people go through hard time and people get over it. The feeling that no one cares does not suffice as reason to kill yourself. when you think like that you have an issue... cry a river, build a bridge and get over it.... you'll be okay... don't take the easy way out....
Hope everything goes well and best wishes

if you wanted to kill yourself, I believe that you would have done it already, and that would be it. If it is an ongoing thing, and you know that there obviously are people who care about you, who try and stop you. You need to realize that you are severly depressed, and that you need help. Just go and see a school counselour or your doctor, and they can put you on some anti-depressants. This does NOT mean you are crazy, it just means, that your brain chemicals are unbalanced and not creating enough endorphines (the chemical that makes you have energy and be happy) on it's own, therefore anti-depressants are artificially putting it into your system for a while, until your brain can start producing more and more of the positive chemicals on it's own.
If you come to a point, and realize and say to yourself "ok I need to get some help, or I want some help" Then I advise you to go to your doctor as soon as possible and find out which anti-depp is best for you!
But you have to come to that decision on your own, and the sooner you go, the sooner you can enjoy life again!
Take Care of yourself. =]

I feel that if you can't help this person out with his problem then keep your rude, crappy comments to yourself. I think it is terrible that some of you are telling this person to just go ahead with suicide. This person obviously needs help and support and all of you childish, uneducated bastards need to keep your fingers off the keyboard if you're not going to help and give GOOD advice. Anyway, please don't listen to some of these people. They obviously do not know anything about depression and how it effects a person. I really feel that you need to go see your doctor asap. If you are not already on any anti-depressants, you should be. If you are not already seeing a psycologist, your doctor will send you to see one that will help you. I have thought of suicide once or twice and I also suffer from depression. Depression in my opinion is the worst disease that anyone could have. You always feel tired and sick. Sometimes I wish the doctor would just tell me that I have cancer or something so that would solve why I don't feel good half of the time. Anyway, suicide isn't the answer, you just feel like this would be an easy way out of life. Life is tough but we all have to deal with difficult situations. It's not worth it. You just have to think of the people you will leave behind that love you. I have a great family and this is what keeps me from not doing it. I always think of my children and how they need me. I would not want to leave them behind. If you need to chat sometime, please e-mail me at Daisymaelouiejack@Yahoo.com. And remember, don't listen to the people that just want to gain points!!! You know who you are and you should be ashamed of yourself. Go back to the playground children!!!!!!

I tried to commit suicide when I got put in foster care a few years ago. I woke up in a hospital after they had pumped my stomach and from there I was put in a hospital for troubled teens for 2 weeks. If I had died then, I would not have met my husband who I have been with for 9 years and married to him for 6.
There are alot of things that I have done and people I have met that I would not have been able to if I had died. I seriously think you need to talk to someone about it. It will make it better, and things will be alot easier to deal with in the future.

I actually have been thinking about it too. I recently went to a psyciatrist and was put on anti-depressents. It has been over a month, and they have finally kicked in. I feel MUCH better about life, and eventhough my problems are still here, I can deal with them better and just feel happier overall.
Please consider this option, if you think about it, in the big picture life is really short and you might as well live it out.

If you've been thinking about it for so long, then its quite obvious that you dont intend to actually do it.
Suicide is the worst thing you can do. Its a way of running away from your problems. Remember, the problems which you didnt solve in this life will come back and haunt you in your next one, if there is such a thing.
Solve your problem. its the best you can do

I pray God you will get some help, please go or call a nearby Church, and speak with a Pastor concerning your problems, more people care about you than you`d ever believe, regardless to your circumstances or how you`re feeling, things do get better. only the devil wants you dead, please don`t listen to him telling you so many negative, hopeless nothings, Give yourself another chance ,you deserve a chance with Christ in your life, and because He died that you might live he deserves a chance to prove how He can make all the difference in your life. and I can guarantee Jesus can and will make your life more enjoyable. JUST believe, and trust Him, ask Him to forgive you for all of your sins, then believe that He has forgiven you, then gladly accept and welcome Jesus into your new life, because it will not be the same. God Loves you. please invite Him into your life. He will always be your friend. but if you let the devil take your life, you`ll be most miserable throughout all eternity with out any hope. I will continue praying for you. with much love in Jesus name aman.
