So, I was home sick with a headache/stomach ache on thursday and friday and over the weekend it was still there. My throat was feeling a bit dry so I thought I might as well go get a strep test on saturday. It came out negative and they told me I had the flu. Now my throat hurts a little more. Is it possible I got strep throat after the test?

I've recently gotten back into playing the guitar. I'm not that great, still consider myself as a beginner. However, my finger tips hurt a ton when I play. I know I'm supposed to eventually get over the stage and develop callouses. but the problem is that I think my strings are way too tight. I have to exert a lot of pressure especially on the first fret.

I'm not sure what the problem can be, other than that I'm out of practice. Did I change my strings the worng way?

By the way, I'm using the lightest bronze strings and since these are one of the softest, I really feel like there is something wrong.

General anesthesia.
Doctors gave up on getting blood pressure down in recovery.
Pressure= 240/190. Amazingly, while taken afterwards in room.

I was trying to clean it with a napkin, and the knife sliced through it and cut my finger. I'm not quite sure how far it went, but the knife was an unserrated fruit knife. When I came on YA for some advice on how to keep it from getting infected, I read a question about someone who had cut their finger with a knife and couldn't feel anything in that finger anymore. Now I'm freaked out. My cut throbbed for a few minutes, and there wasn't much blood. It doesn't even hurt anymore, but I'm wondering if I should still get it checked out. Ideas?

I am in soo much pain right now. If you are easily grossed out... please leave. Ok... if I still have you... My "butt-hole" has been hurting really bad. Like when I walk it hurts soo bad like its burning and it hurts to walk. Then when I pee it hurts extremely bad. And sometimes it itches so bad I have to run to the bathroom but hurts too bad to itch. Do you have any clue what this is?

i have a heacka stuffy nose and i hate when i sleep i can't breath threw my mouth or it will dry so dry. Also eventually my one nostrel i can breath out of starts to hurt. How can i get rid of my stuffy nose at night !!!!!!????

For about a year and a half I have had random chest pains. I have talked to my doctor about it multiple times and I even went to the emergency room and got an EKG. They didn't find anything wrong with me. It might me stress related.

This pain occurs on MY left side. Yesterday was scary, I had to sharp pain occur occur for about 2 seconds. It felt like someone was stabbing me. After that I felt really warm and body felt numb.

I am not obease. I am 6'0, 140 pounds.

I fractured my tibia (the side of my shin). I was going to get a cast but the doctor said the cast really weakens your muscles so it's better to wear this type of removable cast boot. He said to wear it all the time, except for when taking showers and changing, and that is what I've been doing. I took it off a few times yesterday and I noticed that my ankle is swollen. When i press on it and move it, my ankle doesn't hurt. There is no discoloration or anything, it's just swollen. Does anybody have any idea why this is? Is there any way to bring the swelling down?

I was wondering if anyone on here has suffered from a deteriorating disk in thier back and what is done to fix this problem because Its really painful and I just want to play basketball but now it sounds like I'm out for a while and I'm really depressed. If anyone could help that would be great.

I had a helix piercing about two months ago or so that unfortunatly got infected. I took the thing out to let it heal and now the hole is closed. I liked the way it looked and would like to get it redone but i was told by a friend that it takes quite a while for the infection to completely go away. Is this true and should i wait a while longer or would all the damage be healed by now?
Also if it makes a difference i was on anti-biotics for a few days by doctors orders. He told me i could put the piercing back in after a couple days but i left it out anyways.

ok, do u no how some people break their ankle but they sometimes, they have no clue that it is broken? well my ankle hurts sometimes when i move it. my other ankle can move side to side all the way but the one that hurts can't. and whenever it hurts, it hurts in the same spot every time! I got a pritty bad cut on my arm and I know it needs stiches but I did not get them. I got a kit that has some things to hold skin together and has bandages to go over them with medicated stuff on them. I just want to now if there is anything else I could do for it. and what are signs its not healing good?

I have a migraine and am considering taking my Tylenol #3 (I've never taken it before). I have a 4 month old daughter to take care of and don't want taking it to affect my ability to take care of her. I know it can make me tired, but how tired are we talking? Will it cause me to pass out, or just makes me a little more groggy?

during the day it also feels like i have air trapped in my throat and i have burps that happen in the throat and it doesnt feel clear. This is very annoying because its on my mind all the time and its uncomfortable and annoying. I had this problem a couple years ago but then it went away and now its back.

I frequently get charley horses in my sleep in the calf that I ripped the achilles tendon in a year and a half ago. I do carefully exercise (as the tendon healed short and I do not want to rip it again), have plenty of potassium in my diet and drink a fair amount of water.

Anyone have any other ideas for their prevention, they are quite painful really and it is interrupting my sleep.

This has been going on for over a year. Sometimes I am fine, other times I feel terrible. I get head congestion, ear aches and a terrible cough. It's like i have the flu, then not. I am not stressed at all. Blood pressure is normal.

I went to the doctor for the flu, got some penicllin and that didn't seem to help much. Eventually, the flu symptoms dissappeared somewhat. They return on and off.

PLEASE, help!!!
