Well First off taking out the infected piercing is the worse you could do, the infection is now trapped in the body. If you went to the doctor hopefully that anti-biotic kicked the infection. You can now get it re-pierced, there is a risk of getting another infection. For proper healing, cleaning and avoiding infection...Mix a sea salt solution (no saltier than a potato chip) put that on the piercing twice a day every day. Sea salt helps the body heal quicker. Next the cleanings...Buy liquid Dial soap (Has to be Fragrance free) clean the piercing thoroughly twice a day. Do not skip cleanings, do not skip sea salt soaks, do not skip days! Infection is still possible if your piercing does get infected just continue on with the cleanings, Do NOT take the piercing out! If you have any questions or concerns don't be afraid to ask your piercer.

2 months is probably long enough
Discuss it with the professional doing the piercing. I think you'll find most of them would be comfortable with you having waited 2 months to get over the infection before trying to pierce the same place again.

usually when you take out a piercing because it is infected and it heals while infected the infection gets trapped under the skin and will only show up again when repierced and get to the air

Go to a professional piercer!!! They will give you the right advice on everything, including caring for an infection. Do an internet search to find one in your area, I know there are plenty in the capital cities around Australia...

As long as the wounds is closed, there is no swelling, there is no fluid, you should be fine. Make sure you are going to a reputable shop to have cartilage done. If cartilage becomes infected, it can cause deformation or worse.

Two months should be good.
Just make sure the skin and the area around it is all healed up.
Good luck<3

that's real hard to answer. It depends on how bad the infection is.
I've learned from experience if you get an infection once, you'll get it again. That happened to me with my naval ring. Both times I got it done I got a major infection. I even had them use a gold sterilized ring.
Stop getting piercings, tattoos are better anyway
