I need at least 10-12 hours of sleep in order to have a good nights sleep! Any hour or two less than that and I spend the whole day nodding off. Sometimes, my sleep routine is stuck in a nocturnal stage when I sleep too late (I end up waking up in the afternoon or even at night) and it is impossible for me to adjust back to day time. I have absolutely NO will power at all to force myself to wake up...seriously.

My boyfriend has lived in a house with about 3 smokers for 18 years. He smoked for one year in his early teens, but quit.
I am wondering what possible damage could have been done to him, and what he should get checked for and what could be done to, I don't know, detoxify him or something.
We now live together and nobody smokes.

I think someone should invent the "step-down" cigarette. Make a line of cigarettes with different levels of nicotine in them to work sort of like the patch and gum. Would you try it if it were available? Am I on to something here? Any responses welcome.

"You should avoid prolonged or excessive exposure to direct/artificial sunlight while taking this medicine". What will happen to me if I do? I will be exposed and I can't wear a lot of sunscreens. Even if I wear long cloths I will have areas exposed.

I don't know why. To me a Doctor is a Doctor, not male or female.
Being a 51 year old guy, I have no problem with a female doctor.

Do younger people have a problem ? I know a few of my older friends 80's + Just don't trust female doctors. They just want white old men doctors.

Hmmm. I don't get it. Aren't they at all invested in their own health?? Is it common for healthcare professionals that promote well-being to have bad unhealthy habits??? I'm going to be a nurse and when I went through some hard times I turned to smoking for about a year. But I realize how hypocritical and ridiculous that sounds to be learning about health and not to mention seeing the effects of things such as smoking everyday, and then still doing that. Bizarro!

I love smoking. Not cigarettes, but cigars and weed, and shisha. I'm wondering if there's anything out there that you can smoke that's not too harmful for your body. I know that inhaling burnt plants increases the amount of carcinocens in your body or something.. but if anyone has any further knowledge on this, I'd be happy to hear it.

It will sound weird but it is actually "Halo 2 multiplayer", i just seem to not control myself sometimes to just say no to play it with my friends when i have more important things to do.

My plan is (besides to ask God), to control my emotions these times and not have a dependance of it.

I fall asleep fairly easily but for some unknown reason, I wake up at least five-ten times during the night. I can usually fall asleep again quite quickly, but this constant waking is making me feel like I'm not getting enough rest during the night. My sleep is not replenishing and I am very, very tired during the day. If given the chance, I can nap in the afternoon for usually about 2-3 hours straight. Any ideas what's going on and how I can prevent it. Has anyone ever tried sleeping pills?
