The reason there are gum and patches and not cigs to help break the addiction, is because the gum and patch still deliver nicotine to ween you off of cigarettes without the affect that smoke has.
No matter the nicotine, the smoke that you inhale damages your lungs, and heart, you know the rest.
You can't control nicotine levels in cigarettes, its naturally in the tobacco, and can't be "leveled."
And it's the nicotine people are addicted to, not the smoke. They smoke to get the nicotine.
So the try and chew the gum or wear the patch to still get the nicotine, without the smoke.
While it's a good thought, thats why it cant be done.

no i don't think it would work. As the patches also stop the action of the cigarette going to your mouth. So it is not a only a withdrawal form the drugs they put in it but a habit of the actions as well.
Sorry.
Besides they have already done with reducing the Mg's of nicotine in cigarettes and people just smoke more. So i am not sure if it would work

Unfortunately someone already tried it. I dont remember the name, but it was a few years ago. They were more expensive the regular smokes, so most people didnt want to spend the extra to quit. There were 3 levels, strong, mild, and light. I tried the strong ones, and they werent to bad, but I still prefer my cowboy killers.
I just searched the web and found out that they were called Quest 1, 2, and 3, and they were $4.95 a pack in 2004.

You can buy cigarettes with less nicotine in them, people who smoke tend to drag harder and inhale deeper on them and so they cause more damage. Also this doesnt help with breaking the habit which is sometimes harder than the actual addiction.

I work for a doctor and the new prescription out for helping to stop smoking is working great our patients tell us.....so if anyone is wanting to quit they should ask the doctor for that Rx.....
One patient told me if he could quit using that anyone could...its Chintrix.....good luck for those wanting to quit...I'm still in the "thinking I should and must" stage
