the microscopic blood in my retina really annoys me because i can see floaters. This has been happening to me for 2 days and i am trying to sleep as much as possible to get rid of it. I thought it was due to tear or detached retina but thankfully it wasnt. My eye doctor said the blood will diminsh over time( how long do I have to wait and would the floater dissapear with it) please give me sensible answers because im worried about the floater.

If you go in for a sinus infection they get real irritated when you ask if they will look at a second problem with your toe or something.

I recently got a cold and didn't know that I shouldn't fly on a plane and now my left ear is plugged and been like that for about 6-8 hours. I've taken decongestants, antihistamines, tried chewing gum, and holding my nose & blowing to pop my ears, but nothing. What should I do? Should I go to the emergency room? It's 1:20am here...

i am a respiratory therapist. here's what i have seen in the last 2 months.1] a nurse " adjust" a ventilator and nearly blowing a patients lung. 2]on 2 occassions a nurse placed a non-rebreather mask on a patient with insufficent o2 flow nearly smothering the patient in their own co2. 3] trying to place a patient back on a bipap and " forgetting" to hook up the o2 causing the patients spo2 to drop to < 60%. i have spoken to other rts' who report the same kind of horror stories in other hospitals other than the one i work in. why is it nurses always have to mess with things you have little knowledge of ? seems that you just can't resist. but when a patient starts crashing who's the first one you call? an rt. some of you [ not all] are downright dangerous. will you let go of your egos at least for the patients sake ?

Yesterday my son came home from school still wearing his night diaper ohh age 6 yrs. Every morning he takes off his diaper and puts it in his trash bin and gets dressed for school but yesterday he didnt take it off. When i asked him why he was still wearing it he said he doesnt like the toilets at school. Iam thinking of ignoring it becuase he might not do it again but should i tell him to stop or let him wear them if he wants.. He has had a few accidents at school. Maybe he just wants to keep playing but i cant let him walk around in a wet diaper at school all day either..any ideas thanks.

I scratch and pop zits on my face. Sometimes, when a pimple is really large, all I can think about is popping it! I am not satisfied until I feel like I have removed it from my skin - even if it leaves a scar. Worse, sometimes I pick at the scar. Am I a "cutter" or someone who self injures?

I'm a junior in college this fall, majoring in elementary education. However, I need a part-time job. Since i dont have a degree yet i cant get a teaching job. I dont want to work at a retail store either. So i was thinking about applying at a hospital. What kind of job can i get being a junior in college at a hospital? I have a good background and plenty of former employers that would give good comments about me to prospective employers. So is there any job i can get at a hospital?

My husband has a scar on his forehead just past his hair line. It's been bothering him lately. He says it kind of itches. Is this normal or should he see a doctor. The scar is about 12 years old.

I will probably have it checked since I go to the doctors soon, anyway, but I want opinions. I have had a pain that starts underneath my left eye socket, goes up behind the eye and around the head towards the back of my left ear. Any advice given would be much appreciated. I haven't had my wisdom teeth out and they have been coming in, so it may be and probably is that, but if there is any other things with the same symptoms, please let me know.

we reuse water bottles to store water in our fridge. But I heard that reusing and storing water in plastic water bottles (like the bottle of purified water) for a period of time can cause cancerous chemicals to leak in the water that we drink. But is it the same when you store water in plastic jugs (like the sports jugs (http://www.promotionalproducts.net/Graphics/sports_bottle_64oz.jpg) or jugs that children bring to school) for a long period of time? And therefore is it preferably safer than storing water in purified water bottles? And is there any truth to this?

I have quit smoking several times. Every time I quit I get four to five canker sores. A doctor prescribed Kenolog in Orobase. I have also tried home remedies like salt water and apple cider viniger. Nothing works. Three doctors have even told me to keep smoking to keep the cankers away. Any ideas will be appreciated.
