It is still sufficient, however at six months, most babies nutrirional needs change. Milk no longer can supply a six-moth old baby's nutritional needs. This is the time when most babies start eating semi-solid or pureed foods. But milk is still very much part of their diet. Mothers are encouraged to breast feed their babies for 2 years. No other milk is better than breastmilk.

They probably tell you that so that you'll be compelled to buy expensive formulas so the corporations can continue to make money. After all, human milk (from the mother) was designed for human babies, and they've been doing it for thousands of years and things were okay for the most part.
Or else it's just that the mother isn't eating right and taking in the proper amount of nutrients.

I don't know where you got that information from. A mothers milk is the best food for her child up to and past six months of age. It carries all of the nutrients a child needs to sustain life during the whole nursing process unless the mother is malnourished.
