it could possibly be reflux...when lying on your side, sometimes acid and stomach contents can move up into the esophagus and cause pain - like heartburn. If it's a different type of pain (crampy or sharp pains), this could be an indication of something else - talk to your doctor about it.

sounds to me like acid reflux. That happened to me too when it first started. That was 3 yrs ago but I couldn't give my husband a hug, it hurt to have him put his arms around me, it would hurt getting dressed, just about every time I moved. And I didn't get heartburn until sometime later. Have it checked out. Heartburn isn't the ONLY symptom.

I had this happen to me for 5 days straight, now it happens like 3 times a month each one lasting for the entire day, when it happened on the 3rd day it didn't hurt as much, it's probably my Apendix exploding but I don't care. Just don't eat heavy stuff, only crackers, jello, and other stuff don't drink milk or eat a sandwich just crackers and water. And P.S i'm a man I don't care for this stuff.

You may have acid reflux disease.. but you should talk to a doctor before you make any assumptions.

Also, an enlarged spleen can cause the same symptom. If it is enlarged it may indicate a more serious problem. Please seek medical attention.
