I was just in Costa Rica, where I got over 100 bites. There were a couple of people in our group who didn't get bitten at all. Some were local, some were not. Is it something in their diet? Smoking? Drugs? Blood type?

They drove me crazy!

i stay in the woods and just really found out that you can contact poison ivy sumac and poison oak,, even in the winter when the plant has died off, but recently got a bad outbrake of sumac from cutting firewood and as the vine was not on the tree there were still dean vines growin all over the tre i guess it had been sumac well ater touching it while splitting and loading the fireplace i contacted it badly,,,so heres what i did i washed the areas with dawn dish washing liquid and then put and anti perspirant on it to help dry it up. i also took a hair dryer and got the affected area very hot,,, its like an or ga sm in your arm very strong euphoria eeling,,, so wich of these things helped me the most as it has dried up really fast this time...

Please help - my mom has torn cartilage on the inside of in her knees and really bad arthritis. Would that cause both her legs to swell? I have been working in orthopaedics for years, but I just don't know this one. Her blood pressure medicine may be causing it, but the orthopaedic doctor didn't think so. Any suggestions?

I had my belly button pierced in September of 2006 in a random, spur of the moment idea and today it started to bleed really badly while i was cleaning it. I took it out, stopped the bleeding and put a band-aid on it. I'm guessing it's infected, I'm just wondering how well it will heal now that I've taken it out? Also, should I see a doctor about it's possible infection or just wait it out for a while?

Bugger bugger i'm kinda drunk, a bottle of wine in, a slashed my arm with a razor, not unusual for me but it was very deep, I don't really know what to do, it's not hit a vain but I can see gaping fat from my arm, it won't stop bleeding, I tried to use plasters to kinda close it up a bit, but it's bleeding through the plasters, it's only about half a centimeter wide, about 2 inches long? What should I do? I packed tissue over the plasters and then put a tube bandage over it, don't say go to the hospital, I cna't, I'm at home with my parents and their friend, just been getting a bit drunk with them and I dont want them to know, and don't say I need help because I know it. It's bleeding more becuase i'm drunk. Help people? What do I do?!

Just wondering if a bee sting can be more dangerous for a baby or if it's the same as for an older child (ie. watch for signs of allergic reaction).
