A burn is very painful because it exposes the nerves to the outside. The best thing to go is put Ice on it to remove the heat so that it doesn't continue to burn deeper. Vitamin E is wonderful .My sister sunburned herself horribly with a sun lamp on her face. Vita mine E was used and she has no scars or discoloration. Here daughter also fell in a bonfire and burned a very large percentage of her body. It took months but she just kept using vitamin E and keeping the burn cleaned. She also has no scars.

You can get up to third-degree burns depending on what you're using.
Just get a glass of cool water and keep your finger submerged for a while. If the water starts to get too warm, just refill with fresh water. No ice.
If you have a first aid kit, there should be some burn cooling gel you can put on it. Clean it well, and bandage it up with something that won't stick to the wound.
Elevate the hand.
If it's white, it's probably second degree. If it's just red, it's probably first degree.
If it blisters, don't pop it. The blister will tighten and throb - that's normal.
Take some motrin or something if you have it.

First Degree is Redness & Pain, Cool With Cold Water
2nd Degree is blistering, Cool with Cold Water, Bandage and try to keep cool with ice in a cloth. Any remaining glue will come off with the blister later
3rd Degree is charring, no pain, severe damage, go to hospital, risk of infection high

Using any oil based stuff on a burn is a big mistake, especially butter. Run it under cold water for 20 minutes. If it still hurts quite alot, try using an ice pack, but only 5 min on and 5 min off.

Always put cold running water to a burn, never use any kind of cream. Leave the cold water running over the burn for at least 10 mins to cool the place down if it still burns after 10mins carry on until the burn cools down completely. If you feel that nothing makes it better then go the the hospital.

2ND degree is classified as a serious burn, usually with blistering. Run affected area under tepid water. No ice. It will shock the tissue. No butter, no alcohol which can cause trauma to already injured tissue. Under tepid to cool water for 10 min. When in doubt, have doc check it out. You don't scaring later. Doc may proscribe salve, and proper way to dress wound.

You have a 1st degree burn, not a 2nd. Trust me. That glue does NOT get anywhere near hot enough to give you a 2nd degree burn.
1st degree burns can hurt really bad, though. Either go to the store (or get someone to go for you) and get some antibiotic cream with "pain reliever." The pain reliever is a numbing agent, like zylocaine or lidocaine. It will take the pain away and keep it from getting infected.
