First, make sure the person isn't breathing..then check for the pulse on the carotid artery (neck). Give two rescue breaths (for adults 12yrs and up), then 30 compressions (1 and 2 and 3, etc...)in about 18 seconds, two rescue breaths again, then 30 compressions, at least 5 cycles of this or until an AED or the EMT's arrive.
