I am on a compettitive swim team. While swimming Freestyle and butterfly , I havent been able to move my arms fast, just this one slow steady pace. Also my arms will hurt when they are bieng liffted out of the water, and they also feel really heavy. Some days it is worse than others. It is worst the longer distance we swim, everything above a 50. The pain is up the side of my arm to my shoulder.

Is this normal? What can I do about it? What is happening? Should I talk to my coach?

I drink everclear 95% with absinte as a night cap . I find it comforting.
Someone suggested that I try Salvia Divinorum as an added benefit. I do not smoke so could the material be converted to a liquid form so I could take it with my insulin. ?
Also take blood pressure, chloresterol and glaucoma medications.
Your advice appreciated. Rose P.

I stepped down from a height onto the ground without arching my foot so all my weight went through my calf.I had a searing pain which felt as if I had torn the muscle. Now I can hardly walk( I can cycle though). It felt like it was quite high up in the muscle but I am now confused as some bruising has come out round my ankle.I am sure it is not my achilles as I have had that before. How long will this take to heal? should I see the doctor incase there has been some permanent damage?

I've had just about every proceedure done possible. You name it. I don't like the morphine route so I disregard it. Some days I can barley get out of bed the pain's so bad. I just don't do anything anymore. I've literally been a shut-in for the last 4 years. I get more depressed each day. I don't wan't to do anything extreme. I'm really scared. My family member was left paralyzed from back surgery.

Sometimes the veins are very visable and sometimes they're not at all. Why is this? Is it something that I eat?

I've got a pain in my elbow to and moving my mouse is proving difficult.

My left talus was shattered in a long fall last year. I had 3 months of external fixation. I still have very limited flexibility in that foot. Is there anything I can do to increase it?

I have a torn ligament in my right wrist and I'm currently playing softball and having a VERY hard time. I had surgery 7 months ago, but it hasn't helped. Should I stick out the season, or what other possible options do I have OTHER than another cortisone shot

A coworker did something that caused me to have 2 compression fractions and a small herniation of a disk. It occurred over a year ago. I never took but a day off here and there. I have nerve pain in my saddle area, down in my legs and in my feet. Level of pain is driven by activity. It's none surgical. I had chiropractic treatments for many months. I'm waiting to see a doc about injections. I go to work but I have to rest more than most. I always avoid lifting and bending if I can. I don't help out when my coworkers are lifting a lot of things and moving stuff around. Sometimes I just can't take the pain and go home because even just sitting I still have extremely annoying pain. The workers comp claim is still open and its hard to get them to preapprove Dr visits. That's my other issue (it makes me mad). Sometimes I just want to give up and stay home. I control the pain better when I can lay down or recline anytime I need to. At work, I often over do it because I want to help.

For the past three years I have been (unsuccessfully) trying to manage unrelenting chronic pain in two trigger point areas in my left scapula. I've been diagnosed with a Brachial Neuropathy of the left shoulder with MRI confirming nerve damage to the axillary nerve causing severe muscle atrophy in my left deltoid. After twounsuccessful rotator cuff surgeries in as many years all Doctors and Specialists are perplexed -- much to my dismay, Percocet is the only medicine that helps lessen the pain (Will be switching to Methidone in a week due to the Percocet not working as well. About two weeks ago I finally gave in to the pain (temporarliy I hope) and went out on Short Term Disability.
Sorry if this is sounding like a sad sap story, I'm really a pretty upbeat guy, but it gets tough to handle sometimes especially when hospitals like John's Hopkins (Maryland, USA) can't help me. In short I need to think outside the box here which is why I'm asking the question. Thanks in advance!
