My mom has suffered with vericose veins for...since i can remember. Her legs are always hurting and her ankles are constantly swollen. SHe had her veins stripped in her left leg two years ago and within a month she developed a staff infection. The doctors never gave her any instructions except for to "leave it alone" and take showers. So, she ended up in the hospital for about a month couple weeks later. Ever since then, she gets staff infections too frequently. They are also occuring closer together. She takes vicodin daily because the pain is unbearable and she tries not to but she cant walk without it.

If you have ANY information on staff infections or any other helpful information, please respond. It would be really appreciated. Thanks!

My cousin living in lucknow has been suffering from paralytic polio
since
she was 2 yrs old. She is now 19years of age. About a fortnight ago,
she
has been suffering from severe cold and congestion of sputem on the
lungs.
She is complaining of rigorous pain in the whole body, due to which she is unable to move, eat, drink or perform any other activities. Our family doctor have not recommended any medicine for her condition. He said that there is no known medicine for her illness, rather he has recommended a few homeopathic pills to reduce fever but the medicine has not been able to decrease the high temperature. We have tried several paracetamols but nothing seems to work.

A detailed MRI was also performed on her body few days ago, which showed that her right side of the body is completely under paralysis. I would like to know whether this illness is really incurable or are there any tablets (allopathic) that can be prescribed for her.

There's a recent report that talks about how circumcision can help reduce the chance of contracting HIV. The article is here:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/22043754/

Unfortunately, the article doesn't explain how and why. Any medical experts out there able to explain this?

Thanks

I don't mean relieve a sore throat. I don't mean getting rid of it completely for 5 minutes. How can you completely 100% get rid of it permanently?

Well, my friend and I had plans tonight to go to the mall, out to eat, and then have a sleepover. My throat felt a little tickly earlier, but now feels fine, I don't really feel sick, but my temperature is slightly elevated at about 99 degrees. My right throat gland is also VERY SLIGHTLY swollen. We are not planning on sharing food, drink, or even beds so do you think it would still be fine for us to go ahead with our plans??

Thanks
=D

I think I might have a virus. Is it normal for when you have a virus, for when you swallow your saliva, it makes you sick and you puke. Or if you a get a severe chill. Is that a virus?

I kissed a girl that i didn't know well on april 2007. After we were done kissing i felt like i caught something a virus or something because my right eye i had a sharp pain also tinling feeling around my lips. After a week i had white patches on my throat went to dr. Dr said i have bad throat. He gave me antibotics i got better after a another week i begin to have shoulder aches and pain when i pee a burning pain. Went to dr. got medcine for burning pee. it got better after taking the medicine, But as of today dec i still have shoulder aches, when ever i move my arms around i feel cracking popping noise. but i don't have any pain. Red spots back of my throat. Light headache sometimes also tinling feeling all over the body sometimes that last only 2-4 seconds. Asked the unknown girl if she has any diease. She said no. But i am still scared because i don't feel like my self. What kind of other dieases can you catch if it is not a std. Because i felt it like i caught something.
