Yoga (while not truly a religion, but more a meditation) can help you relax, soothe pain, maintain or even reclaim some of your movement, learn to understand and appreciate your body, and fight the progression of AS.
Remember, while there's life there's hope. Best wishes to you on this journey.

Religion can help you out in many ways. Unfortunately, making ankylosing spondylitis go away is unlikely to be one of them.

I do not know about a Religion, but I think a Rheumatologist might be able to help you.
They help will drugs for inflammatory diseases.
You can take IBUPROFEN on your own, two every four hours, to help reduce the inflammation in your back.
Good Luck.

do not discount the power of religion, or rather belief, to alleviate suffering. the power of the mind is incredible. i am not saying you will be cured by religion. but prayer and belief can have a powerful effect on your general outlook. this can make pain more bearable or even relieve it in some cases.

If you are thinking of HEALING via a religious person... you really want to seek out someone who is NOT a FAKE healer!! Do not seek out the likes of Benny Hinn. You might try the 700 club.

Religion helps you with your soul, not usually your body. Praying is great, but get a good rheumatologist.
The best way to treat AS is stretching, massage and chiropractic. Medication is really not a solution.
